Quite frequently I see signs in people's drives - and even at the end of a small cul-de-sac near my house saying "no turning".

There's a guy near where I work who has gone as far as having a batst mental blackboard with some stuff about charging £20 a wheel for people turning on his drive.

I can understand people not wanting drivers parking on their drives, but turning: is it really such a big deal?

I guess it would get to me if it was happening all the time, but a lot of them are in fairly innocuous places.

is the guy with the blackboard over near shaftesbury? i keep going past one like that and don't know if hes having a laugh or not. recently he put the prices up due to unforseen costs as someone stole the blackboard!

By the Horton Inn. yes

I really don't think he's having a laugh...

Just for balance by the way...

For every grumpy person with a no turning sign in their drive, there is a helpful person.

I live one house from the end of a dead-end lane. There is nowhere to turn round on said lane for a good hundred yards back up the lane, or further down; or there wouldn't be if the house at the very end (weekender) didn't leave his gate open so people could use his substantial driveway as a turning space.
