F*****g fuming with myself. Stone chips in my favourite helmet. Anyone had any joy with having translucent helmet paint fixed?
Depends how fussy you are, I'm a 5 yard guyI'd just touch it in with the closest colour and from 5 yards it'll look great
I scuffed my carbon lid - touched it in with lacquer and it's perfect
From 5 yards

Absolutely, Ganaraska is great, although bring a saw, same tree issue, although should be mainly clear by June. Give me a heads up when you are going and I'll meet you there, it's only 2 hours from me.
Which side are you? East or West of Ganaraska??KTMsm said:

Take it into a big branch of Boots and ask one of the cosmetics assistants to find you a nail varnish the same colour - or suggest where you could get oneKTMsm said:

Made a horrible noise as it hit the (solid, paved) ground.

The weather is forecast to be crap for the week, so I got out for an hour after work yesterday. Who needs a gym membership when you can go and lift 300lbs in the woods! This bike isn't perfect by any stretch, but the fact that it's road legal and can do this is so great.

Nice

Have you never thought about something else, Beta etc??

I did look at the very few other road legal enduros, but none seemed to be as reliable as the Honda. Plus I got this one used, at a ridiculously low price, I doubt I would have trusted a used KTM. The Betas seemed like a bit of a wild card, as they're not that well known near me, so getting parts etc might be more difficult.Have you never thought about something else, Beta etc??

If you're ever looking again, speak with Langs Offroad, in Dorchester, outside London Ont.Very good Beta dealer, I've had all my Beta's through them and excellent spares support.
Must say I'm really impressed with the 390RRS which I even got blue plated and has been faultless. (Change the stupid plastic oil pump gear for the metal replacement)
A good friend has a TM 300i, now that's tricky for parts!
I'm in Toronto most weeks, if you're ever free for a midweek bash let me know, I'll bring the bike and my gear and you can show me the local trails...
Great day for a ride on the new bike. First ride when I got it was 450 miles in the pissing rain so I could get its first service the next day. Next day after service was 550 miles home in rain and crazy cross winds. I had a wee run last week but it was bloody chilly.
But today - ride 4 - what a great day. Rides really well and handles astonishingly well for such a big beast - more than 500kg with me on board! But gravel car parks are still a bit butt-clenching. I could probably do with some stabilisers for the low-speed stuff; not sure how many more years I have in me for big heavy stuff so have to make the most of it.

Looking forward to its first big-miles trip in June.
