Oh this is getting interesting.. at 12:41 this morning I get this from Diplomat Dave. Note that the grammar isn't aligned with previous emails. Personally I think he's had two wasted trips to Moneygram to try and collect the cash but failed so he's trying to turn it round with the possibility to get some more money from me

=====

I am just coming back now from the police station and my account was arrested with the charges that the money that was drop at the Bank was another client transaction who has the almost the same MTCN number with him so they has identification problem which made them to give the money to him.

As i write you now he is in the police net and they said that he must return the money before he can be released , so i will advise you to UNHOLD the money so that it can be picked up and money replaced to the owner at once.

I need your urgent resonpse as to this issue unless i will use legal actions on you.

Waiting.

=====

Then at 6:47 this morning from Dave again

=====

I am still yet about to hear from you but no news why?I need you to get back to me as soon as possible by UNHOLDING the money so that the can money can be pickup and given back so that my staff can be released.

I need to hear from you urgently.

Thanks.

=====

So I send him this

=====

Dave,

I've got no idea what's happening; why are the police going fishing ?

There is no hold on the money so it should be able to be picked up as requested.

Please advise.

Regards
Steve

=====

Deeply Dippy George also replies

=====

Hello Steve,

I have received several mails from the diplomat he said that the accountant was not able to pick up the money the money is HELD so I don't know what is going on I would like to know

=====

To which he gets this reply

=====

George,

I've just received a couple of emails from him also; sounds like one of his staff screwed up and he's trying to blame me.

Do you think he's trustworthy ? In all his communication it's been him in a solitary role that would be collecting and paying the duties and all travel had to be around him; now we find out he's got others to do the work for him. Do you think we're paying a premium for him when actually we're getting a lower member of staff - should we ask for a discount ?

He thinks that there's a hold on the money - I did as was requested and sent him the money; it's available for collection at any time; I've checked with Moneygram this morning and they've said; Yes available to be received, so I really don't know what his problem is.

Hopefully he'll get it sorted today.

Regards
Steve

Ask him for a photograph of them in Jail and then you will send a $5000 bribe to the guards to free them.

No he'll go in with the MTCN number and proof of ID that should match that on the transaction. They'll give him the money. Easy as.

That exchange rate is the actual one given on the day of transaction. That's probably why the fee was only £5 or so.

Not long to wait either....

Received this from George

======

Hello Steve ,

I am glad hearing from you also the diplomat sent me several mail that they were not able to get the fee for the pickup instead a similar transaction was dropped ,I am just confused about all these, the diplomat is a honest person , he complained that the money is held that so you have to go back sort out these because , I would not want any problem Please Steve you know you are my last hope for my box/money please Do everything within your powers to make sure that everything goes well Please Steve remove the doubt you having, Because the diplomat gave me his words that he must deliver. Please Do these for me.

======

So I'll either pacify or infuriate him with this reply.

======

George,

I have no idea what Dave is actually doing, he may be honest but from my limited experience with him he seems to be completely incompentent. His accountant has a simple task of collecting the money and then all of a sudden someone's locked up by the police and he's blaming me for this.

I've just been to the Moneygram shop yet again due to his compentence to have it verified that the moneys still available to be collected.

I'm as keen as you to get your box out, as of today my bank account is empty and has the princely sum of £3.45 in there. I'm desperate for the money but Dave isn't progressing this one iota. Do you know if we can get him replaced with someone who is capable ?

Regards
Steve

=======

Oh and surprise surprise, Diply Dave has also responded. Anyone would think they are the same person having access to both email accounts wouldn't you

=======

Go to the Money gram office where you paid the money and ask them why the money is still not yet picked and that you will want them to unblock the money so that it can be picked up by the person you sent the money to.

Do that as soon as possible or unless nothing can be done here.

Worried.

=======

So I've been down to the shop (not actually - I went for a nice fry up breakfast with my mate) and I've sent him this

=======

Dave,

I've no idea what the problem is at your end. I've been to the Moneygram shop yet again, and they've reported the same thing. The money is available for collection and hasn't been collected. They run a transaction enquiry on the number and they've said it's all clear. They provided me with a copy of the enquiry and I've attached it for your information.

They did suggest that perhaps with the Brexit 24 hour delays that something's holding it up internally and if you can let them know what branch you're trying to retrieve the fee's from they can trace internally. If you're still having problems, do let me know although from their point of view it should be tickety boo and ready to collect.

Please advise when you have the money and the box.

Regards
Steve

=========

So all being well this will be the third wasted trip to the Moneygram shop for him. I wonder if it's enough for him to know he's being played ?
