Best ever looking 4 door saloon...

That was going to be my 'plan B' for my earlier QPV post, but I bottled it at the last minute
I've got my beady eye on one that's for sale (again) at the moment.
At first blush the QP IV looks like Shed of the Week material, some blandtastic mid-90s Audi barge. But the longer you look at it the more you realize that the QP is a different ballgame. Restraint is not blandness.

They come with the usual built-in fragilities, of course, but then so do so many "quality" German cars of the period.

Still gets my vote. One of the last cars designed to be pretty and elegant. Not all this macho in your face aggressiveness that's come after it.
It does have a simplicity to its design, no baubles and over-eager features that shout "look at me, I'm sexy, RARRR"!
Wasn't it COTY or was that the 147?

For a new car, that I’m sure most of you have never heard of, the DS9 is a very attractive saloon. I’m not convinced they’ve sold any yet, but it still looks very nice.

It’s got nothing on the classics obviously, but I do think for a new car with the crash protection and modern design it’s one of the best.
In my mind a Big Citroen should always be a wedge type of shape, 5 door in appearance (yes I know the DS and CX weren't actually hatchbacks) and light on it's feet with the back floating slightly high on a cushion of air. Not this, a heavy-set 4 door saloon with contrived details to spice it up.It’s got nothing on the classics obviously, but I do think for a new car with the crash protection and modern design it’s one of the best.

Still want a pre facelift QPV though
