How about this, ex-Acropolis Rally Visa GTi, although a bit of a trek to go and get it: https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1695001

I have to say I love the looks of a 90s / early 2000s rally car
Even with a lottery win I'd never buy one though, they must be absolutely battered.
I nice replica though....
Many moons ag I was invited to have a look round a prep company. Early 00s, so nearly everything was an Impreza. Mostly Grp N and a few A. Out the back were several used shells with cages basically rotting. Even with a lottery win I'd never buy one though, they must be absolutely battered.
I nice replica though....
What's the story? was enquired.
Basically "shell fatigue" so it was cheaper to bin them and get new shells that try and put the strength back into them.
TBF a proper works history car with serious provenance is probably worth restoring to a good level if the new owner just wants to do some Goodwood and "RallyLegend" stuff in between the occasional historic event

Yup, that's definitely the base model I was thinking of. The Cosworth most definitely isn't the base model. Not that the 2 share a huge amount.
t. Hence why the rally car was also utter crap.So I’d say fairly consistent all round really.

P6 FMC in 1997;
P6 FMC made its debut at the 1997 Monte Carlo Rally in the hands of Carlos Sainz and Luis Moya, who drove it to second place overall. Throughout that season, it contested multiple rounds of the World Rally Championship, including the Swedish Rally, Rally Portugal, Rallye de France Tour de Corse and the Acropolis Rally, with a driver line up that also included Juha Kankkunen, Armin Schwarz and Jarmo Kytölehto. Highlights included multiple WRC podium finishes and a third place result on Rally Finland in the hands of Kytölehto.
Overall 1997 result;
“The Drivers' championship was very tightly contested and in the end Tommi Mäkinen won his second drivers' world championship in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV by a single point ahead of Subaru Impreza WRC driver Colin McRae after the final round in Great Britain. Carlos Sainz was third in the leading Ford Escort WRC.”

I know this isn't a proper Panda but looks minty mint. But I guess those door trims could be hiding the rot.

Deeply cool if driven by a French female film star from the same era in weather similar to that in the pic.I love it.

I loved mine. Mine was a pure Innocenti (in RHD!). But this one has a horrible sunroof, a far less charming dashboard than the original, and is massively overpriced for what it is, but I guess that’s the level of the market.

I stand by my “crap” comment, with the evidence provided by Loon further highlighting my point by the presence of Juha and Sainz, two utter Gods, not being able to win in it.
