It's either the FW14 for me, or the MP4/8. You can see here how small it is compared to today's monsters.

The McLaren for me, I always loved the way that McLaren came across as the under dogs that season with the HB Ford. I saw Senna at Donington in it and remember him coming round the last corner traction going with the tail out smile

The only scale F1 model I have.

That was a pretty car. Prettier, sharper shape I think than even the Lotus 79. For me the 79 wins out because of the black and gold livery, but had the Williams (FW7?) worn that colour scheme it would have looked even better.

I don't recognise that car! It looks like the Williams with a few differences here and there, like the rear wing post and a couple of vents on the back of the bodywork. What car is this?

Williams sold their 1979 FW07's to John Macdonalds RAM team in 1980 so that is a FW07 in Black and Gold!

Every day is a school day! thumbup I recently learnt that the Wolf WR7/9s, which also looked pretty cool in a sharp edged, Hollywood Does Formula 1 style, became Fittipaldis, though they also changed bits and pieces of the look. That was a bit of a surprise to me too.

Frank Williams and Walter Wolf had owned a team together. They eventually fell out and went their separate ways.

Wolf managed Frank sideways out of running the team and then sacked him when it became apparent he was poaching staff for his and Patrick's new venture.

I get Motor Sport Magazine Emails, they recently did a piece on Wolf winning their debut race but I can't find it on their website. They have a Simon Taylor 'Lunch With' interview with Walter Wolf from 5-6 years ago.

Can I sneak a '79 car in?

Absolutely crap record, but I so wanted it to win at the time. It was so different!
