Old NW car dealers

Stewart Wilson auto design - yes, remember them.
Not sure if they're still going but they were a few years back.
In about 2002, when Ford launched a new shape Fiesta, i called into Quicks Ford at Old Trafford to have a look and they had a so-called Fiesta GT edition in. Turned out it was a 'Finesse' with a SW kit on it. I spoke to the sales guy a few weeks later who told me it'd sold (what was i thinking!!?) but that they could get the kits in from SW for about £1500 +500 spraying and fitting.
Spoke to SW direct and they told me they could supply, spray and fit for £1k.
Then i bought a Peugeot.

Just on bodykits - does anyone remember the old car mags with the black and white 'RGA' adverts in. Think that's what they were called - seemed to do a kit for all cars - be it a Renault Fuego or a Nissan Bluebird!
I remember the Bluebird one-it was absolutely horrendous! There was another place that my brother used to go for his 'go faster stripes' - a shop on Deansgate in Manchester city centre.
We used to pop in there to look at the latest range of wheels from Momo/BBS. I think my brother bought a steering wheel from them for his Golf GTi.
During the 80's we also 'frequented' car stereo places for the latest releases from Alpine/Sony/Pioneer/Kenwood/Clarion etc... - happy days.
Do you remember the shop on Wilmslow Road (I think) near the Christie Hospital, can't remember what they were called. I had a few stereos/alarms fitted there.

I remember(1988/89) the owner having a red Porsche 959,his name was Leon and the reg number on the car was 1EON.
Transound as the guy /\ says, used to have a Countach in there too.
Was the shop on Deansgate the botton end near where the Hilton is now, used to be an old Bauer Millet shop is thin or was that next door.
What was the place called where Awesome GTI is now Irlam/Cadishead way, used to have a few hot hatches in there through the 90's.

Stuart Wilson are still going, operating out of a unit in Cheadle.
Remember well going up to Hyde with my mate back in the early nineties, he bought a set TSW stealth's for his MR2 MkI and I bought a set of TSW three spokes for my Lancia. They always had a two page spread in the 'trader.
I believe the shop on Deansgate was called 'Carnoisseur' which also sold stuff through a catalogue, again still going but internet based.

He sold that car for a LOT of money. I knew Leon very well. If you know him, ask him about the time he got stung by the girl who ran the shop for him. I remember(1988/89) the owner having a red Porsche 959,his name was Leon and the reg number on the car was 1EON.
