After all that I feel I might be safer there
PS Never I've watched Star Wars & I am old enough to have seen it right from the beginning.
Think its because I thought I'd missed the first three so there was no point starting part way through
The first film wasn't called "Episode IV" until later. PS Never I've watched Star Wars & I am old enough to have seen it right from the beginning.

Also, films with multiple sequels were far less of a thing back in 1977

You can watch the original Star Wars as a standalone, or watch Empire and Jedi as well.PS Never I've watched Star Wars & I am old enough to have seen it right from the beginning.

Thereafter it's the law of diminishing returns.
Why don't (can't) cheap car manufactures make a good looking car. I mean Porsche/Ferrari etc can't be the only manufactures with good designers and yeah I'm sure it costs a little more to physically make a car which looks good, but surely not 10 times the cost?
Ok, leave the engine out of the equation, as not everyone wants to go 200mph, but the aesthetics must be achievable on a budget?

Because good looking cars are horribly impractical. I speak from experience having owned a few horribly impractical by very pretty cars. Ok, leave the engine out of the equation, as not everyone wants to go 200mph, but the aesthetics must be achievable on a budget?
What's the storage capacity of a Fezza compared to a Dacia? Back seats?
A sports/super/hyper car tends to be designed for aero over other concerns, the faster you go the more a shape is defined by the need to be as slippery as possible. This also happens to be appealing to the eye.
A cheap hatch is designed to be as cheap as possible to manufacture. This means aero and shape are barely even secondary concerns.
Form often follows function. A sports car looks fast because it's designed to be fast. A pickup looks utilitarian because it's designed to be that way. So on and so forth.

Really? I thought it always said 'Episode IV: A New Hope' in the rolling text intro thing at the start?
Remastered and renamed (and the titles altered): April 1981

You’re not wrong there! Amazing looking car!!Cracking looking car though.
I'm not sure we'll find much that we'd define as "stunning" under £20K... Though I'll say that looks can be quite subjective.

For £25Kish starting price. Slightly gopping gob aside, I'd say the MX5 meets the criteria?Ok, leave the engine out of the equation, as not everyone wants to go 200mph, but the aesthetics must be achievable on a budget?

Not under £20k, I know, nor "stunning" as such, but the GR Yaris looks purposeful and very much the homologation special that it is.I quite liked the original 'teapot' Ford Ka. The Fiat 500 works well. The Beetle, as well. Going back a bit, the Mazda RX8 was unique and had looks that punched above its weight.
I think the cleverest of all is the Mini. The original Mini was the first true 'classless' car in that you'd see a council estate Mum driving one as you would a Lady of the Manor. The new one is clearly a homage to the original and retains that multi-class appeal. That's quite a difficult thing to achieve and is rooted in the design more than the marketing.

I did see it at the cinema, but I was only 4 so barely remember it. Thereafter I would have seen it on TV / Betamax / VHS / DVD so I guess they were all post-alteration, so it's always been there in my memory.
Thanks.
