D, You have an open offer to see if you can put your amazing manual .2 GT3 round Bedfords GT/West circuit quicker than SWMBO's turbo s post lock down. Cars are fully insured if you're with Classic Line or A Manning and you're virtually on your own on track for your timed laps with virtually no where to crash. Happy to put myself and my own 997 turbo in the mix no doubt I will not keep up with either of you. David/apollo was 8 secs a lap quicker than me same day. It will be fun
I know, I doubt it will pass Bedford noise regs with my Ti system on, they have gone stupid low these days, my Spyder did not even pass so have to throttle off in 2 places.
it's a poor/dull track and low noise limits and my money will be going to Anglesey, Donnington and a Ring trip of what little I have left in 2020.
but happy to meet up on one of those.

The only person who's going to put a manual GT3 round even a novice track like Bedford is someone who can properly pedal. Speaking to 9e they have complaints from some of their manual GT3 owners not being able to keep up with flow of traffic on track day. Their advice to me recently was to go PDK if using more on track just so that I'm not a mobile chicane

I'd suggest if having a PDK rather than a Manual stops them being a mobile chicane they need some instruction ! Written by someone who had four sessions now with one of the PEC instructors in his Manual GT3...not because it's a manual but because the car is more capable than I am ! Have had to cancel a couple more sessions because of Covid annoyingly !

Hardly a novel thought but... As someone who bought 991.2 new to my spec, and spent lots of money on pointless things like Burmester and nose lift, then did almost 18k in it including lots of track days, I just cannot understand the LW options. The car will never be LW - and I can't see that it will feel any different to drive with thinner windows. If you're going for lightness, and no rear seats, and less sound insulation, why on earth get a TTS and not a GT car?

Not arguing, but Possibly to have 4wd, which comes in handy during winter Oh god an clear taillights again on the options list as part of the package

I remember when I had my 997.1 turbo,1 I think all red tail lights were a (daft) cost option, and then the 997.2 turbo came out and clear lights were now deemed cool and a cost option. The Porsche marketing department put a shift in that day.

We went for lw seats. SWMBO loves them. Agree on glass etc and we’d also want rear seats. They’re really useful for short trips kids love roof down by turbo s. Doesn’t look like there is a folding bucket seat option on the 992 yet. Looks like fixed bucket. Can you not have just the LW pack on its own without all the body styling?
You can have the -10mm suspension and sports Ex on the stock car. I know the 18 ways are not Buckets, but if they are the same 18 ways as what's on the 992 C2s, then there is a lot more lateral support than what was on the 991 Turbos. Interesting. Think we'd wait till the glitch phase is over and the car is electrified if upgrading as if she's topped from driving into London she will have to upgrade. SWMBO works for global tech giant but doesn't like the digital dash!
Have to say those GT size tyres and lowered suspension look great. I hope the 27 June is on for VMAX or were going to go stir crazy. Well I am. A long long road trop may be on the cards post this. Currently have 4 preposterous fee invoices from kids closed public schools I'm scratching my head about . I can't see how they can propose 80% fees for 4 hours online every day. Need to sell children and buy 4 turbo s methinks. Cheaper trust me..

At least you have got 20% off. Ours have offered only 10%. Parents have petitioned but the school won't budge.Have to say those GT size tyres and lowered suspension look great. We got 10% as well, but I’d happily pay 100% if it secures the future of the school. However, we do get a full normal timetable, all done on Teams.
We were treated to full fee's ! thread in NPE, as much as a they have done admirable job on the remote / home schooling, teams, pastoral care etc it is a head scratcher. I was happy to pay 100% to help those in the toilGassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
