I know they are a fine steer and all that, but fk me I hate them.
This isnt beyond reason at all ... They're alwful and always have been but to add insult to injury, why oh why are they always driven by people who appear to have given up on life!!?

I’m annoyed that my curiosity has been aroused to the point that I have to Google Jaguar X types.

Meh, looks okay, but if I really had to choose a new car, I’d go for a Volvo XC90, or a Lincoln Navigator, easy for me to say, as I’d be in back, reading the paper, while my wife would be driving it, (too fast as always), Nicky has a lead foot, as her nieces say.

People who look at a fifteen year old car and then go, yeah, but a new expensive car is better.
Thanks for reminding me Frank.

The same also goes for people who moan at people who get a new car and have to turn up a clients looking presentable, and someone suggests that their 350k miles silver-top-half-bubbling-brown-bottom-half merc dogwagon estate is just as suitable for the job.

I’ll apologise up front, for I may, I’m unsure, be talking out of turn, but it’s possible to have interpreted that as, “Frank is saying that a new car is better than a fifteen year old car.”
If that was what you thought, (and I reiterate, it may well not have been), it wasn’t what I was saying.
The Jaguar looked fine to me, but I prefer roominess, with a touch of luxury, that’s why I said that I’d opt for the Volvo or Lincoln over the Jag.

The EU is stopping daylight savings by 2021, it’ll be interesting to see if the UK scrap it as well (if we’ve left by then!). Otherwise there will be a time zone change between Ireland and NI.

Mildly annoying, but this isn’t a Brexit thread! laugh

The trouble is that the most logical time for the UK to settle upon would be BST all year round. So we would ironically have the Greenwich Meridian in our country but not use GMT.

It's only a number - so why not just use GMT ?

People who say the book is better than the film.

Utter killjoys. The film isn't the same? Oh really? So what, enjoy the film on it's own merit as after 60+ years of adaptations the film is never true to the book.

But books don't condense into 2 hours with epic sounds and visuals.

No one else uses GMT anyway.

They could even move the dates and it would be better. Canada changes later (next weekend) and changes back earlier (March 10) - the difference this end isn’t that noticeable but why we drag it out until the end of March I don’t know.

It is usually around 2 weeks, but I guess it just happened to be only a week this year.

Until a few decades ago, the USA used to change DST at the same time as the EU and the UK, but then they decided to change to a different time, much to the annoyance of International business.

Australia changes at a different time to us too - they changed a few weeks ago.

Given that I have friends in both the USA and Australia, who I regularly meet up with online, this is always a confusing couple of weeks for me.
