It was cans, I didn't realise there were different versions. Just saw Prime.

The lad did say "that gave me loads of energy, better than Lucozade"

That would be why then.

It's not only shopping trolleys that leave the store
this is just gold... Other shoppers had also complained on social media, with one said she’d had to carry her shopping in a plant-pot. Staff told our reporters that the baskets had been stolen by punters when bags for life ran out.

The Caffeine content is a bit crazy and only just pipped to top-spot of mg/ml ratio by Rockstar (https://www.thesun.co.uk/health/23002398/prime-drink-ksi-logan-paul-warning-caffeine-fda/)

mg ml mg/ml
Rockstar - 300mg (473ml) 300 473 0.63
Prime Energy - 200mg (355ml can) 200 355 0.56
Monster - 160mg (473ml) 160 473 0.34
Nos - 160mg (473ml) 160 473 0.34
Red Bull - 80mg (250ml) 80 250 0.32
Burn - 112mg (354ml) 112 354 0.32
Lucozade - 46mg (380ml) 46 380 0.12
Coca Cola original - 32mg (330ml) 32 330 0.1
High street coffees for a bit more context:

From https://www.which.co.uk/news/article/caffeine-leve...

A good money-making ploy by management maybe, hide the baskets out the back and tell the staff we have none left, but you could just use a trolley, more shopping goes in a trolley.

Priest tells the knuckle dragging mourners to go out and do a good deed "to make the world a better place". I suspect that happened when scrotey went under the ambulance!

It should be noted that these look like American figures. We don't get NOS, and we don't get 473ml cans of Rockstar or Monster; we get 500ml. Occasionally 553ml in the Mega Monster cans with the resealable lid. UK cans of Rockstar are marked at 40mg/100ml, so would contain 200mg of caffeine. Monster is 32mg/100ml, Monster Ultra (the zero sugar range) is 30ml/100mg, and Red Bull is also 32ml/100mg. Prime Energy comes in a 330ml can and, in the UK at least, contains 200mg of caffeine. In that respect it's no stronger than Rockstar, although it's more concentrated.

Pass have to say I don’t and never have drank any of that energy drink nonsense as it’s just not needed - the data is from the linked article, however - My local Shell garage sells NOS and the 473ml sizes specifically of monster and rockstar feature in B&M quite frequently I believe

Really!? I’ve never seen NOS on UK shelves, or 473ml cans apart from Red Bull. That’s interesting. I could be wrong in that case. I figured there was a lower limit on caffeine content in the UK as I’d never seen those variants before. Next time I’m in the shop I must actually take a closer look.

A quick Google suggests NOS is available from Tesco, but not sure if I've ever actually seen it on the shelves. I am quite partial to an energy drink (Relentless Origin usually) as I'm not a fan of coffee so need other ways of getting the caffeine hit in the morning.

Admittedly I don't tend to browse them however, just pick up Relentless, so will have a look next time.

A can or two of high caffeine drink before driving any real distance on the M5/M4 up from the West Country to London is desirable as they are probably the most soporific roads in Britain.
