Cheers, I will get them all out at some point, just need a big enough space really!
I have far more hobbies than I should, and all of them are too expensive, and this is probably the one I take the most flack about. It is playing with toys, after all. However I do love it, and once I can convince my mates to come out with me and have a go on some of them, they usually get it.

tbh I'll let the Avante slip by if it goes silly but I do really want another Boomerang....I had several off-road buggies back in the day (as a nipper) but the boomerang is the one I hanker after again, just love the look of them.
Maybe I'll pick up a new hotshot re-release to tide me over in the meantime

I have a thread over on Scale4x4rc

It's gone quiet for now, waiting for parts to come in. Needs a strip down, rebuild with all the hop ups etc. The styrene has come in so I can work on making a 'drop bed' for the rear of the truck, basically making the rear bed have some depth to it. Waiting on-
Alloy GPM parts from asiatees
Scale accessories from RPP hobby in the US
Couple of parts from Banzai Hobby
Roofrack and spot lamps from Time Tunnel (UK)
Too many projects, not enough action!

Current project. TL-01 rolling chassis. I've got a spare 9T brushless with ESC to go on there, then some drift tyres, and now to choose a body. Something JDM I think...

I've just got a used tamiya to-01 chassis and done a similar thing, put in 9 turn motor and sensorless esc...the plastic spur gear went after about 2 runs....it's absolutely rapid though. Had to order an alloy spur gear off ebay for £8, also all the plastic bearings are s
te! So upgrading them to metal ball bearings.I love the old tl01 chassis, very simple! Enjoy
TL01's are very sturdy beasts. Geared high though like you have discovered, alloy gears are available but it's engine heat you need to worry about next.
The only 'weak' point on these chassis really are the front suspension arm mounting points, they have a tendancy to split especially at the front and it means replacing the whole bloody chassis.
Here's an update on my other project, I'm building a Jurassic Park Jeep complete with operating winch on the front, just like the film. Modified CC-01 chassis hides underneath, having trouble getting the body down low enough to sit right on the chassis.

Loving the F40, I remember working in the shop when they were re-released and I really wanted one, but minimum wage did not allow it!
Made a little progress on my CC-01 build, got the interior from Dinky RC which has been designed for the Hilux but with some careful trimming...

Added lots of nice alloy goodies to the chassis too -

Need some wing mirrors from somewhere.
Got to do something on my road cars too, all I've done recently is the scale stuff!

Hey all,
Here is a video of TimmyWimmyWoo's Multiplex Funcub with my GoPro on it facing forwards/backwards/left
Make sure you watch in at least 720p (but go for 1080p) as it's very pretty

(P.S. He let me have my first go with a remote control plane after the last video was taken... and... Yeah... it has had a temporary setback in the form of the engine being no longer attached to the fuselage)

Here is my R/C collection.
2 of them I race at my local club.
Schumacher Supastox, with lotus Elise shell. It is running 3.7V lipo with 13.5T sensored brushless motor. quick as 4wd touring cars!

Losi 22 off road buggy. fitted with 7.5T brushless motor. very QUICK.

my 10 year old HPI savage SS, which now savage X spec with different motor/tyres. my first ever R/C car. It is very loud! Has telemetry fitted so I can see RPM and engine temp on my transmitter. the engine goes to 25k rpm...!! could be higher once I changed the exhaust pipe.

My Tamiya Lunchbox with double wishbone conversion, and 3rd spring mods... So it handles very nice with wheel remain straight in full range of suspension travel. fitted with 17.5T quite slow brushless motor for longer run time.

I got a r/c helicopter but that's unfinished project.
