Not insured????
the car probably didn't have insurance as it was taken off the road to be finished
Wow such a shame but tbh not having insurance would be mad imo.

Yes this in my car.
stil absolutely devoed.
Started by grinder sparks on carpet (ground and welded over this carpet for the full build and never ever had a problem.
The score with the insurance is like this- It ran out last month and they wouldnt cover me until i had an engineers report but couldnt do that til car was completed (would of been finished within 2 weeks) the other cars in the unit were also not insured, they were owned by the 2 guys that share the unit with me not sure why they werent.
The landlard has since informed us that the building isnt insured either as it was only for storage!!!! Funny how he knows exactly what we do in the unit and happily takes rent every month!!!
Gutted just isnt the word at all.
i lost my car and 2 very good mates cars along with all our tools and equipment also all spares we'd built up over the years, Then to top it off i lost my phone and car keys for the car i went to unit in (to which i have no spare)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, build a fire proof shed for a start boxedin

Sorry, shouldn't be so glib about such a distressing accident it must be soul destroying seeing all that hard work go up in flames.

I'm very impressed that you went back to do it again - are you doing anything differently this time?

Just stumbed on this after you posted your new project!

Just read the entire thread start to finish - dispite the pics not workin in the 1st few pages- ( still say them later on once you reposted them) Fantastic project! thumbup
Love the twin engine set up.

Was in disbelief when seeing what happend; sorry for your loss, must of been a really difficult time.

Great news that you've started a new twin engined c2 project though!bow ( Always really interested and intreged by twine ngine set-ups )

You say this one's going to be a sleeper! Primarily for the road then?! yikes

What state of tune will the engines be in?
Same amount of tune for each? - or more for the rear?

p.s If your going for the sleeper look, has to be standard black
& Once again, Well done! thumbup

I'm so glad to see you're back, I can't wait till this is done, I would love to come see it when it is done, I love my C2 to bits but it's only a 1.4 and it's just nothing exceptional, C2James said you have a workshop in Redcar, if so I need you to check out the problems I've been having.

Anyway GREAT to see you're back on it. I hope it all goes well and I look forward to seeing the car
