Incidentally, I cant quite work out whats going on with the double gear shift levers here. I can only guess that its a 60s version of paddleshift-operated autos we see today, so the small lever shifts to drive then the big lever is used as a manual over-ride when racing 'stangs on the 1/4 mile? am I right or am I way off?

Isn't one lever a 'lockout' to hold the car in lower gears? Not driven a muscle-car of that era but I've seen similar things in other models!?

I don't really like Merc's but that could be quite nice without the Halfords rear spoiler.

Body kits on anything are horrid turds lacking in taste. I challenge anyone to post an image of an acceptable body kit. I cannot remember ever seeing one...
What say you?

would be ideal if I was a Reeperbahn pimp in about 1989

Don't like the roof spoiler in the first pic; it's not even the same colour.

Like the SEC as it's 'in period' but needs a higher profile tyre to look correct IMO

Ah.... no overdrive on a 3-speed? That must be a bit revvy to cruise in

That's a B&M Pro Ratchet Shifter.. Red lever will be the reverse lockout (as required by NHRA/IHRA.)

Wish someone would sell badges that spelled Maxi instead I would buy loads and swap them on people's cars. Wonder how many would notice.

Thanks! Did they used to have a big problem with less intelligent people shooting backwards off the line or something?
