September would be better. His BDay is 29th! Ive just been looking at Donnington and can team that with a stay in Donington Valley Golf & Spa...I've got to enjoy myself too! wink We have a big holiday coming up before this that is going to skint me out - or maybe I would have pushed the boat out to head further afield. But £300 is about all I can afford!
Job done, go enjoy ....

None, go to another circuit, any other circuit, viewing at Silverstone is universally pants and the place is soulless beyond belief !!!!
Shame to say it but that's the truth, Silverstone does lay on some good shops, a fair, stalls etc which make it slightly better. But id be thinking of anywhere bar Silverstone even Donnington Park, preferably Oulton or Cadwell.

For viewing I'd reccomend the Farm/Bridge/Luffield area.

Unless something's changed in Silverstone recently, the Stowe end is pretty boring and unless you have a car to drive around in it's far away from anywhere 'interesting'. There's nothing scenic about the walk up there either.

If you stick to the area between the Pit straight and Farm, you'll also be resonably close to any shows/exhibitions/club parking that are on display around the track. With any luck there's lots of other stuff going on around the track and near the pits. That'll likely be the highlight of your day.

Haven't been there for a couple years though, so this might not be 100% accurate
