There is of course perhaps our greatest living actor Sir Christopher Lee. I enjoy a nice game of spot the Lee. There are plenty of films to try it on.

Before he was famous he did a good line in Spanish parts.
The Spanish Captain in the 1951 film Cpt Horatio Hornblower.
Spanish military attache in the 1952 film The Crimson Pirate
And of course the Spanish (Uruguayan) bar owner in 1956 film The Battle of the River Plate.

There were many others as well, I class him as being "famous" from about 1958 onwards.

My favourite has to be Jean Claude Van Damm in Breakdance as by stander dancing (wearing the same black all in one leotard he would wear a few years later in AWOL in the pool fight scene).

It was Neighbours that launched Guy Pearce' career, apparently 496 episode, was in it for 3 years.

The Bruce Lee film with Jackie Chan was Enter The Dragon

Jackie Chan's first big American film was The Cannonball Run

We need to carry this on with Jackie Chan and Jet Li together.

Yeah, he was pretty big in it so I don't think it is the same as the rest.
Johny Depp had already starred in Nightmare On Elm Street before Platoon.

Hmmm - Death Wish 2 - 1982

American Graffiti - 1973
Star Wars - 1977
Hanover Street - 1979
Force 10 from Navarone - 1978

I think Harrison Ford was getting fairly well known by 1979.

Or did you mean the original Death Wish film from 1974?
