I had the same dilemma this year when ordering my Supersport aand decided on white with blue stripes, which I have to say i'm chuffed with.

Definitely think brighter is better and safer.
Wraps are a good option too, I was quoted £800 for the full car

IMO...

Roulette green
Obnoxious yellow (plenty of choice, but avoid the non obnoxious yellows, too common!)
Metallic blue (needs contrasting stripe or nose cone loop)
Pearl white / stripe

Caterhams are silly cars, so silly colours are great. IMO pearl white is very nice, but not very silly.

PS - I's an R500. I'd still drive it if it was pink / baby blue / footballer tacky. Noone would see me for long anyway =)

Thanks to all for your replies!

I am amazed at how many people like orange!

It looks like I am going to go for white with black or grey strips

It goes in next week!

Hi Aeroscreen, love it, makes it look more retro with the brooklands screen and chrome lights and stone guards, I also fitted the clear rear light covers.

It was yellow and silver, but after a lots of thought I decided to go with the white and blue, the white is pearlescent and the blue metallic think it might of been urs that gave me the idea smile

I did think about that,, but when the number plate is fitted it will cover that area so it wouldn't be seen.

It's was done last week, worked out 1200 euros including doing the the rear and front arches in lacquer high gloss.

Its not a caterham!! but if i was going back to bare metal and looking for colours it struggle not to be tempted by this combo.....even if someones already thought of it. Maybe go for an orange cage and stripes with the grey body work and black wheels

I'm a big fan of the greys, and personally don't like the bright colours like yellows, oranges and greens.

Mine will be either satin gunmetal like this...

... or Toyota's metallic Decuma Grey like this...

Dyno rod orange does fade, but not to a mucky brown colour. I don't think you can tell it's faded until you find a hidden bit that actually hasn't faded. Of course, panel matching if you need to do it would be impossible!

I went for white with silver/black stripes, and bare carbon for the wing. I like the monochrome look smile

Chris, I had a long chat with Tony at TSK and Dave at Townley about the dyno-rod orange as I fancied it too. The biggest problem is that it is not photo-stable and fades within a year to 18 months to a mucky brown colour, meaning another respray would be required.
Not entirely true. It cerrtainly does njto go a mucky brown colur, but some paints just bleach to white.

This depends on the actual paint used. Glasurite = rubbish Rage Extreme - See below.

This was a bright the day I crashed it as it was the day it was painted (proven by a sticker I peeled off the dash) I still have the nosecone in my garage, at this still appears unfaded.
