Is it just me, or is the drop from saddle to bars totally insane on the green one?
They're all like that until they're cut. To ride it as it appears in the picture you'd need to be the lanky crow from the Kiora advert.

I'm having MAJOR issues with Giant over my CX bike frame replacement at the moment. They are being complete #@nts so TCRs are no longer on the menu.

Still not sorted? What's it been now, three months?

They've sent me a new frame. But it's white. My forks are black. The forks they've sent with the frame are white but take a through axle wheel. My wheels are quick release. Giant are refusing to change anything else so I will either have a bike that will resemble a zebra or need to buys new front wheel.

Apologies if teaching to suck eggs, but have you checked whether yor existing front hub can be adapted? All the newer Hope hubs, for example, you can just swap out adapters to take all the different axle sizes.

If you can do that, then consider it a decent upgrade! smile

They are just stock Giant wheels so I doubt it. However, can you get adapters for the through a le frame to take quick release skewers?

That looks awesome thumbup

If you removed the forks, do you reckon that would go into a normal bike box, i.e. with the down tube along the bottom of the box...?

Mine JUST fits in my large bike box by the skin of its teeth !! Another 5-10mm it wouldn't have fitted in .

Sod removing the gruppo for a game of soldiers. Never had to do that with a Bike Box Alan or a VeloVault. Haven't got any pictures of mine but grabbed this off another forum.

You might just have cost me a lot of money tongue out

I'd guess you could leave the groupo on and remove the forks too...many options tongue out

The group is not fitted on the bike due to me stripping it down to fit Dura-Ace parts and other bits ready to race. It was while i was at this stage i grabbed the box to see if it will fit for future abroad trips.

To fit in the box all i need to remove is the seat and chainset which is 5 mins work. Also whip the bars and stem off and lay along the top tube. So basically all good and as easy as any non integrated seat post bike.

What height and size is that bike, as the only reason I haven't gone for an SL is the worry about fitting it in my bike box.

That yellow SL is so well specced for the money heard the wheels are pretty good too!

I'm calming down over Giant now and that bike is a stunner. It says it is lime on the website though not yellow. What colour is it in real life?

First reaction to the colour of the TCR is Flo Yellow ... However my printers eye would agree there is a touch of lime about it , mainly due to the matt finish. If it had a polished finished it would make the shining light paint look brighter.
Im due to receive the brake calipers tomorrow , then the bike will be complete . Will prob post up a TCR build thread so keep your eye out.

This.

The box above with the fluro yellow Giant in. Looks like a flight case instead of a proper bike box.

This was my TT bike in a BikeBoxAlan. With hindsight I didn't need to remove the Seatpost. Just the seat from the top. Using the JoeBlow track pump as a guide It's 23cms from the base to the gauge. (pump is upside down in the pics - base at top right) Which conveniently is the same length as my seat tube without my Adamo fitted.

Is that a Propel? That's on the want list as well!

No, it's a old Trinity Time Trial bike. For reference it's a Medium which on a normal Giant Road bike would be a M/L.

Though this thread did get me looking at 2014/2015 Ultegra equipped Propel SL Advanced's biggrin

TT bike...

Out of interest, what's the difference between a bike box and a flight case? confused

I just made the "flight case" comment as it didn't look like a proper box designed for taking a bike. But a generic square foam lined box that you could put anything in you didn't want crushed. guitar, bike etc

This sort of thing
