Haven't seen much of what is scheduled yet, but league of gentlemen (REALLY hope it is done well!), and The Highway Rat will be watched.
League Of Gentlemen is 18, 19th and 20th Decemberhttp://www.denofgeek.com/uk/tv/doctor-who/53631/bb...

Don't care, as long as there is a decent Bond film (Connery or Moore) on Xmas day I can sit and watch with the old man and a glass of whiskey, I'll be happy with that!
It's just not the same streaming it, it needs to be an actual broadcast for some reason.
I get your idea about it being shown "live"It's just not the same streaming it, it needs to be an actual broadcast for some reason.
But the chances slip[ away.
Remember years ago when the Bond Film was the main vent on ITV - long time ago
A few years ago I thought they would show Die Another Die on Xmas day - IMHO they squandered it by showing it a few days before Xmas in a ghost slot
I may be completely wrong but I think that Skyfall was shown on Xmas Eve on the main channel a few years ago and last year on either ITV 2 or 4 on Xmas day

Father Brown Christmas special (don't knock it its simply lovely comfy warm TV and Mark Williams is staggeringly good in the role)
Is the only thing that I'm looking forward to.Christmas TV isn't the same as it used to be, and I suspect this year will be full of the same old programmes and films like:
Polar Express
The Wizard of Oz
The Sound of Music
The Great Escape
It's a Wonderful Life
On the Buses
The Carry On films
Home Alone
Bond films
Harry Potters
Hotel Transylvania.
Smurfs
Ice Age
Nanny Mcphee
Aside from one or two premieres..
Comedy will consist of Mrs Brown's Boys and that equally dreadful Still Open All Hours (god knows why they're still making this as it is painful to watch imo. Ronnie Barker must be rolling in his grave). Loved the original series. Bring back Only Fools and Horses for Christmas Day, even if they're just repeats:-)
The animated film "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" will probably get another Xmas showing (nice idea even if the story didn't make much sense), like with festive favs The Snowman, The Snowman and the Snowdog and Father Christmas.
Top of the Tops Xmas Special: What's the point in having a xmas special when the show isn't even aired anymore?.
