Can't believe the timing on this one. Ours was installed yesterday amidst much excitement.
What set up do you have?

For the guys with the slide and hide, is the oven much smaller than a normal one?
I think it's the same at around 71 litres.

Just fitted a B58CT68.OB and a B48FT78.1B the OB has Pyro cleaning whereas the 1B has full steam option but no Pyro which is a shame. Both are fantastic ovens in their own right. We went from a 3 oven range type cooker and no more bending down to check food - really is a revelation to see how things are cooking!

£4600 Not cheap but high end. Ordered as a bundle along with Nef induction hob and extractor - Appliance City couldn't be beaten elsewhere.-

We decided not to go with a microwave combi. Instead, I've designed a large full depth unit with sliding retractable doors that hides all of the kitchen paraphernalia. Open and slide back the doors to reveal kettle, coffee maker, microwave, etc. and it can all be hidden away when not in use.

The built in microwave combis are OK but are bloody expensive and, in our opinion, bloody complicated for what you actually use it for! Both of our parents have top of the range built in Bosch microwave combis and they hardly use any of the features...

Long time lurker here, but i thought i would show you my recently completed Neff setup.

We call it the tower of power. It is 2 x Neff pyrolytic slide and hide ovens and a Neff combi microwave above.

The slide and hide ovens are very good and pyrolytic cleaning is a must have as far as the other half is concerned.

Another tower of power here, been in for 4 years, no issues with the ovens other than a bulb in the main oven.

Just the one oven. Slide and hide with pyrolitic cleaning. It's 71 litres and most of the others available were up to 73-75 so I don't think you'd notice the difference

Put new Siemens oven and induction hob into kitchen (basically the same as Neff). Both failed just outside of warranty, Siemens not interested at all. Now have Miele, which we should have bought in the first place and not that much more expensive. The difference in quality is significant.
Honestly, I can’t tell you how poor Siemens customer services were with me. These were expensive items and should not have failed after circa 4 years. They simply didn’t give a monkeys. Even a token gesture of goodwill towards replacements (which would have cost them nothing) would have been appreciated. Now I will never purchase anything made by Bosch / Neff / Siemens again in my lifetime. They are all the same by the way. Bosch = Skoda, Neff = Seat, Siemens = VW. Either take a punt with the cheapest appliances and replace every few years or buy Miele as an entry level if you want proper quality.

And yet my parents have a full matching suite of Bosch appliances that are nearly 8 years old and have been faultless!

Oven, steam oven, combi microwave and coffee machine. All in weekly use (daily for the coffee machine).

Luck of the draw I guess.

I guess so. However, I always say that the mark of a good company is how they deal with problems.

Yep, that's a fair comment.

Unfortunately we didn't have much choice as we needed the slide and hide doors to really make the kitchen work.

Anyway, we have a combo of single oven, microwave and warming drawer although the warming drawer barely gets used.

We're rocking a single Siemens Pyro Combi Oven alongside a Siemens Studioline Compact Combi (Steam) and a a warming draw.

Completely lucked out at £700 for the lot and love all the features. Don't really use the WiFi on the single oven, but the microwave function on both is handy and the steam function on the combi can do some wonders.

Don't get a separate microwave as they're an outdated waste of space when it can be inbuilt into both of your ovens. Try and get steam on one of them and ideally pyro on both, but we're not missing it on our combi. Warming draw works well for a bit of proving also.

What does the steam function help with? I’ve heard of it but never had anything like it?

Also how have a few of you got the the good deals? Where are you guys looking?

Use steam daily for vegetables. Sous Vide meat, bread - very useful for re-heating curries too

We have single pyro slide and hide with the combi microwave over . Both nice bits of kit . Wife struggles a bit with the microwave as the door drops down and as shes not tall she has to reach over the open door , not ideal no slide and hide option at the time we bought ( about 18 months ago) . Have induction hob with removable control knob , great for cleaning a little fiddley in use .
Best advice would be go to one of the NEF cookery schools before you order. We went to the above in Cambridge . Very informative especially about the combinations of features full steam , part steam etc . There were clearly people on our session that had been badly advised and had the wrong kit installed , they were very cross having seen what different kit could do . I think it was FOC.
