Just picked my wife’s new Macan GTS over a week earlier than originally told.
What's the current lead time for a new Macan GTS, if you can get a slot that is?

Paid deposit late January. Finalised spec. last week. Delivery mid June.

That’s better than I expected, are Macan GTS build slots easy to come by then.....I was expecting the whole process to take around a year.

I only spoke to one OPC and was told about 6 months, which is looking to be reasonably accurate. I suspect the dealers like to give the impression there is a shortage of supply, but am not sure how true this is. A poster in another thread suggested there might be a facelift later this year which could mean the GTS is not available for a while.

The semi conductor issue is absolutely a real thing unfortunately. Trying to get hold of any “reputable” is very very difficult with lead times under 50 weeks. There are batches coming out of China with normal lead times, but bugger all provenance. It’s an absolute ball ache for everyone looking at automotive grade stuff. There isn’t even much fully qualified aerospace grade stuff around.

As an aside, my dealer quoted me delivery next spring for a Turbo order placed now.

Paid a deposit in December iirc , got wind of an earlier slot and got on the phone to ask if I could get moved forward .

Picked it up last week and got to it was Q1 next year if you ordered now , don’t know if that’s correct or just being quoted to make us feel lucky for getting one quicker.

I was considering a Macan GTS myself (my first Porsche) and saw the recent news of a second facelift, minor exterior cosmetics and interior tweaks and may hold off. Especially if waiting time is 6 months + anyway.

Ordered a Porsche 911 Carrera in Feb 2021 ws promised may delivery , that changed to July now told September . I only discovered this by calling them , they simply don’t bother to inform you of a change of dates .
I do hope this lack of customer service gets picked up by Porsche U.K. because after a few years out of porsches my experience this time around is not good

When placing my GTS back in December, I was told March/April. Now I'm told Aug/Sep. And yet there's no guarantee. What a mess.

Many models are currently being delivered without electric steering column adjust due to the chip shortage.
