That is a great film.
Yes the funny thing is that fat bloke is making millions of his mass produced art, similar to Banksy making millions off stunts like this, as it boosts the art he will sell. I find the whole thing funny really, if he was true to his art he would burn all the money.limpsfield said:
What? Why?
Why? He does his art as a pisstake against the industry and people who buy his art. It is free art, street art, surely any idiot can see that, as his film points out. Art is not about money, that is why the street artists do it. If mugs want to pay millions then yes most would take it, but it comes with the price you are perceived as a sell out to what you stood for in the first place.Ive got a few of his "pieces", didn't pay thousands for them as his Art is actually very cheap to buy just not signed by him.

One thing puzzles me. If these are indeed his work, how does he paint them without being spotted?
You can't knock one of these up in two minutes.
He has a team, uses stencils, probably doesn't even spray them himself anymore. He just churns they out like a factory but idiots to lap them up.One thing puzzles me. If these are indeed his work, how does he paint them without being spotted?

The model village one he would have got permission. He was orginal 20 years ago, now it is a bit tiresome.

Fairly well known…
“Banksy is commonly believed to be Robin Gunningham, as first identified by The Mail on Sunday in 2008, born on 28 July 1973 in Yate, 12 miles (19 km) from Bristol.“
private school educated in touch with the real people, sound familiar, like every Tory politician going.“Banksy is commonly believed to be Robin Gunningham, as first identified by The Mail on Sunday in 2008, born on 28 July 1973 in Yate, 12 miles (19 km) from Bristol.“

Banksy pleads not guilty to selling out but makes his plea from a much bigger house than he used to live in.
Only because he is very good at what he does, though. He doesn't do his art for the money, and aside from a few projects most of his art is given away for free. Anyone who is at the top of their game will do well, doesn't matter if that is art, football or tiddlywinks. How much do you think he was paid for the 7 pieces of art he left in East Anglia? How much do you think they cost to make, with the planning, the stencils, the work, the staff etc?

I was quoting Banksy. He said the thing about not selling outHow much do you think he was paid for the 7 pieces of art he left in East Anglia? How much do you think they cost to make, with the planning, the stencils, the work, the staff etc?
I quite like him and have followed him from about 2006
The message is all a bit 6th form politics, wake up sheeple for my liking. Some of them are quite witty at times though.
I do find it funny that when Daz the scrote does it, the council are allowed to pressure wash it but when it's a Banksy the "Modern Parents" are clapping and fawning over it and a protective screen goes up.
