I have heard him speak at a couple of Force India events at Silverstone. He impressed me by being bull free and sensible.

He had VJ to deal with before Stroll, so not an easy life for him I'd imagine, lol.
I’ve never been much of a Lawrence Stroll fan, for most of the same reasons as others on here - but the way he engineered the Force India takeover, in such a way that it cost him pretty much Malliya’s £200m valuation for the team, but structured so the Indians got nothing, was financial genius.

Vijay had his fingers in a lot of pies though didn't he, I had the impression Otmar had more reign than under Larry, who seems to be there all the time giving it his HNW expectations look.

Losing Otmar feels a bit like new girlfriend tossing out the stuff linked to your ex a bit, but going into the cost-capped era, his experience steering the team on low budgets you'd think is invaluable.

Maybe he thinks too small for a team that seem to purport they're going all the way.

Lawrence Stroll is presumably a great businessman but I don’t know if he’s a good boss or even a good man. I think he put Szafnauer up to things which didn’t come naturally to him. They’ve presented a bit of a nasty, combative image since Lawrence got involved- remember the appalling lies and the cover-up when the drivers got Covid, and the threat of legal action when they realised that they had been impacted by the floor cut. Lawrence seems a bit of an old school scary bd of a boss and I don’t think Otmar needs it. Shame as I used to like Force India.

I like Otmar thought he over performed at forces India and always came across as a nice guy. Wish him all the best at Alpine and think Aston Martin will regret letting him go.
