Ramsbury Brewery near Marlborough does a tour. They have a distillery too, so gin and vodka tasting also. I think they do a blend your own gin session if you want. I live close enough that I've never done the tour, just pop in to buy beer. There's a whisky coming too, but still needs to age a bit more.

I was there last week picking up some beer, it’s a great place. Take a designated driver though as it’s in the middle of nowhere.

Some research needed I think.

To bring this full circle and complete the tread.
Tour booked at Hooky.com late January and accommodation also at The Sun Inn.
Should be a lovely little break.

So back from Hook Norton, what a lovely village and great brewery.
Throughly enjoyed the tour, if anything the history was more interesting than the brewing, gravity brewing makes perfect sense.
Also shire horses are huge !
Beer was excellent, the surprise was an outstanding ‘Mild’ at only 2.8%
The Sun Inn was nice, food good, all very pleasant.
Most importantly the birthday trip for my brother in law was a success, planning the next one now.

It's great, isn't it. One of my favourite places in the world. You drive up that little lane and all of a sudden there's this magnificent Victorian brewery. You can feel the weight of the world lift up off your shoulders.

And what an amazing selection of beers.
