Disagree here. Yes, I can understand the ‘ half sucked boiled sweet’ and ‘ used bar of soap’ views but I find it more elegant than either the aggressive styles and those with overdone side strakes. Peugeot 406 coupe was of course very similar but shrunk by 15 percent. A lovely era of Pininfarina style.

I’ve read Roger Daltrey’s take on this episode in his autobiography and he seems confident that he was innocent, but very naive in his actions. So I will go with that unless any further evidence arises. I guess that’s the gamble in attributing any celebrity value to this car, but £60k seems like a bargain regardless. I’d take this over some crappy old Ford every time.

I’m actually tempted to swap my classic 911 for this if I could be bothered. I might even get £10k change back.

I’m not surprised he said that, given it’s probably worth a few million per annum to him for his band-mate to be able to distance himself from the “research”.

I m not surprised he said that, given it s probably worth a few million per annum to him for his band-mate to be able to distance himself from the research .

Yeah, I’m not stupid! But he wasn’t convicted based on the evidence and so the narrative might actually be the truth ie he was playing the vigilante without stopping to think how it might look. I’m certainly not going to convict him from my armchair or be 100% convinced he was innocent. He was however 100% stupid for getting himself into that situation.

I understand the temptation certainly, but I have a feeling these 456's would see to it that you didn't keep that £10k change in your pocket for long! Probably best off sticking with the 911.

I hear you, but classic 911s can be a moneypit as well. Would it be that much more expensive to drive say 2-3k miles per year in that Ferrari vs my 911? Genuine question as I have no idea about the potential Ferrari costs.
