I watched the whole second series on a flight back from Buenos Aires on my laptop. The Argentinian bloke next to me must have thought I was a lunatic as I spent most of the flight in stitches.
The robot wars episode was particularly good. "War b

It was entertaining but not that funny as people make it out to be, well IMHO anyway.
I think appreciation of Spaced is quite age specific and relies heavily on 'getting' all the references / homages.I believe SOTD was originally an idea for an episode of Spaced, but they had so much material they made the film.
Wish there'd been a third series.
So many great characters and quotes.

My highlight? Mike getting shot at paintball and coughing up yellow paint.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=shHh4Ju7kXAI'm sure there are out-takes on one of the discs of 'Duane Benzie' (Peter Serafinowicz) choking when he's putting that voice on.
Love the Terminator reference in this one 'There's a storm coming'.

Spaced is awesome! That along with Green Wing for me is some of the best comedy to come out of recent years....The gunfight scenes are just pure comedy genius!
Its one of few TV shows I have on DVD I can watch again and again - that and the special features! The clubbing & oregano episodes are my favourites
It was also one of those shows that finished on a high and I'm glad in a way they never brought it back for a third series - it wouldn't have been the same.

Tim: "Eh?"
Brian: "The predictability of random events. The notion that reality as we know it - past, present, future - is in fact a mathematically predictable, pre-ordained system."
Daisy: "So somewhere out there, in the vastness of the unknown, there's an equation for predicting the future?"
Brian: "An equation so complex as to utterly defy any possibility of comprehension by even the most brilliant human mind, but an equation nonetheless."

anyone for 'Black Books'?... another classic of similar vintage
Absolutely. Bought the boxed set of all 3 series from Amazon last week (reduced to a tenner, so well recommended for those who don't have it or haven't seen it). I haven't seen it for ages so really looking forward to watching it, just as soon as I stop working 12 hour days and Sundays too.
