Wall Street and Trading Places of course both well known for their fast paced action sequences and big budget pyrotechnics...

Definetly rooting for Red Dawn and Running Man.

Arnie was at his best in the 80's

"Let off some steam, Bennet."

Bennet was the gayest bad guy ever! Even looked like Freddie Mercury.

Damn, beaten to it. I would say Invasion USA was the most cheesy one of the lot. America is being invaded by Russian sts. So what do they do? Send in Chuck Norris.

Delta Force was great too! With all the obviously "Ethnic" bad guys... total propaganda against the middle east...

Breakfast Club etc aren't action ?

Aside from Top Gun and Arnie films, Marked for Death ?
While not cheesy, does anyone remember Running Scared ?

Cheesiest '80s action movie by a country mile has to be Iron Eagle.

Makes Top Gun look as serious as Platoon. Has all the '80s action movie standpoints as well (teenager who can fly jet fighters, Arab bad guys in control of oil in a 'sinister' way, black sidekick, pop-rock soundtrack and a theme tune called Never Say Die (Iron Eagle).

Even the name - Iron Eagle - sounds like the sort of 'tattooed' nickname you'd give to a sinister-looking, undefeated street-drag Pontiac Firebird that you drive at night, wearing a '49ers jacket, with the windows down and Metallica pumping from the stereo. UNashamed cool-for-the-time posturing in a name? Must be the '80s!

Smokey and the Bandit!

Terminator
Aliens
Predator
Running Man

(not all cheese but very 80's)

ETA: also Class of 1999 - if you haven't seen it, you must (although technically not an 80s film)
