I think the keys can be easily got from Toyota themselves, you just need a key number, which should be on a little metal plate with the key.

Interesting colour, I like it smile

Don't seem to have a metal tag with the keys, wonder if they will do it once I get the v5?
Trying to figure out the colour initially thought it was blue but during the day it looked purple. I need a clear non rainy day to see exactly whet colour it is

Unlike JDM turbos, UK cars have a factory fitted alarm so if you have locked the car and lose the existing key you'll need another transponder one to deactivate it and start the car. Take it along to the local Toyota dealer with the existing key and V5C/2 new keeper supplement (which you should already have) as proof you are the new owner/RK. The VIN number (JT163SW20..etc) from the plate in the frunk (on the back of the bulkhead in front of the spare wheel) should be enough for them to do the necessary.

That's because it's officially called Purplish Blue Pearl (aka by many as Azure Blue) - colour code 8K9 - the same as my turbo (see pic on the previous page).

Also only has one key, which is a real pain, need to figure out how to get another key made and a fob, are the keys transponder keys, or can I get one cut from the local locksmiths. How do I get a new fob, get one from eBay, can they be reprogrammed?

I'm in the same boat (car came with one key and one fob only), so will be following the outcome of this smile It would be nice to have a space set for obvious reasons. Interestingly enough, I sill have the keys and fobs from my previous Mk 2 that was written off, can the fobs be reprogrammed?

All you do is put things back the same way you took them off. Easy peasey!

Kinda spur of the moment. Bought an MR2 MK1 last night. Collect it on Monday. Hope it's solid as it looks. Gotta love eBay...

Onto my third now. Started wanting one early 2000 s but was too hung up on hot hatches. Got my my first in 08. A mrk2 rev 2 t bar which was a bit cheap and needed a little tlc but was a great car afterwards. I bought it after a house deal fell through then a few months later nded up wih the house and in need of a workhorse hilst I did the house up. Went to germany that one.
Then bought a forged built rev 2 t bar also in black with a big spec and tons of spare parts whilst I was on with the house as a spur of the moment. Planned for a full on project with it but it just sat on the drive. Sold it in a fit of depression as the house still wasnt finished and it just sat looking sorry for itself.
Then as a moving in present to myself I bought a rev 3 tubby tintop in red. Changed the japspeed over to a fjusibo legalis r and fitted a berk decat. Got a radtec charge cooler, HKS boost controller, TOMS rear bumper, spoiler, skirts and a aeroware front spoiler to fit this year in the loft.
Also changed the 16 TOMs spilt rims for a set of 17 advans but think im going back the 16s as the car has lost some drivability.
Love mr2s.

Are they that bad? It's just going to be a daily, I already have a weekend car. I've always thought the FTOs V6 sounded nice, in a sort of non-threatening way. I actually want a ZX but the missus would kill me.
FWIW, my housemate owned an FTO at the same time I had a very sick rev 2 turbo. The rev 2 could only wheeze it's way to 172bhp on the rollers, the FTO managed 180.

On one occasion we put them side by side at 15mph and accelerated to 70. He was a pair of white dots in the rear view mirror by the time I got there.

i have had 3 and i'm currently looking for my 4th.

first was a red rev3 uk which i swapped my integra si for.

sold the red one and bought a gti6, got bored of that and bought a white rev3 uk.

sold that to a chap that has posted it on this thread already. bought a few other cars then went searching for a carribean blue t-bar rev3 uk and found this one with only 29k on it.

sold that one to buy my 205 that i still have. i am currently in talks about buying a rev5 t-bar, i will post up a pic if i get it.

Tein S-tech springs only. Approx 50mm drop IIRC.
They're good value for money.

I've currently got fully adjustable Tein Super Street coilovers on the track car.
They're also a cracking set of coilovers. They'll be up for sale soon once I buy my new KW V3 coilovers!

Would anyone be interested in the Tein coilovers?
