I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this, I was very close to sending 2000 Euro to a fake holiday company last month for our family holiday this year so any kind of time and effort wastage for these low lives is great to hear.

Anyone else think the box might be genuine though ..... biglaugh

Definitely genuine, I got this after just paying the clearance fees of $5000 dollars...

Just like i said for now i can not send you any money and even in my papal account
Diplomat Dave has some serious contacts! Is it worth asking him if the Pope is willing to pay some of the fees for a cut?

Love the way that you blank out your bank details for the forum yet you've just given them to a Nigerian scammer laugh

Been following this with a smile over the last week or so, very well done in keeping these aholes on the hook - the longer you do it, the less time they have to sucessfully scam the more naive members of society.

One question keeps running through my head though:

hehe

Dipply Dave obviously works late as I received this at 1:30 my time this morning (2:30am his time).

===

Thank God for that, please if possible i will need you t send me a scanned copy of the payment slips or send me the amount you paid with each numbers different.

As for the box once i am done i will tell you when i will be in your country.

Thanks.

===

So since I've sent him the transaction numbers yesterday I wonder if moneygram verify the amount against the numbers so if he hasn't got them the right way round they don't payout. I hope he's had another wasted trip to the moneygram shop. Not to make it to easy for him I've swapped the numbers round here just to hopefully annoy him.

One thing I've forgot to say - every attachment I've sent him has been at the maximum size for his email account - he's using Yahoo which has a 25Mb limit so I've upscaled my images to fit the maximum size - must take him for ever to download smile

Dave,

Thanks for your email. I just took the total amount and divided it up to make sense

69497324/1490/69497352/1400

Scanned pictures attached.

I look forward to hearing when you'll be delivering the box.

Regards
Steve

Hopefully it'll be another wasted journey for him

That, maxing out the size of attachments, is a commendable level of attention to detail.

Great idea but really bad as they may be using an internet cafe.

Anyway - Dipply Dave has obviously been down to try them but I get a confusing message back

=====

I am not happy with how things are going because my plan is to conclude today and start coming to United kingdom today but My Staff was escorted to the Money gram with a police man so that he can pickup the money and hand over to the people but the numbers on the slip where invalid, I also took time to check the mail you sent to me.

The numbers in the slips and the one you wrote for me are different , please i need you to reconfirm to me with the correct information's and please try to check the status of the money once more to know if it is ready for pickup.

I wait to hear from you urgently.

=====

I'm shocked that those numbers aren't working. I mean would I send them something that's incorrect ? Moi ?

=====

Dave,

I had hoped this email was going to advise that the box was ready.

Are you sure you're using the current slips and not the previous ones that were cancelled at your request.

I've attached the receipts for the two in question. They're the same numbers that I included in my email previously.

I have phoned our local Moneygram to confirm the status of these and they've confirmed they're ready for collection as today is the 15th and with the Brexit delay they would have been ready for payment on 14th (yesterday).

Regards
Steve

Georgy obviously has a better relationship with the Diplomat than I do as 5 hours ago he sent me this

===

Hello Steve
Hope you are fine and in good health I have received your mail sorry for not been able to response here now very busy with the state of thing , I have just receivd mails from the diplomat he complained again that the where not able to get the money that the numbers are invaild , I am just confused , what is happening ,he wrote to me said that the number for the transcation is not vaild that you should send him the correct number so that the can be able to extract the money and clear the box.

===

And then this 3 hours ago

===

Hello Steve
The diplomat wrote me again that the number you sent is not valid that they are not able to extract the money. tell me what is going on please my brother am just worried .because I don't want to lose my money and I don't want anything to happen to it.

===

Then 2 hours ago

===

Hello My brother Steve
where you are to sort it out with the diplomat.......any News

====

So George gets this in return

====

George,

Thanks for your email and Happy Easter to you and your family.

I've received an email from Dave saying that the numbers were incorrect. I've sent him the receipts for the changed tickets that he requested a couple of days back; they match the numbers in my email to him.

I had hoped that the box would have been out of customs by now but it seems Dave's having problems. I've checked with the shop at his request and they're available for collection even with the 24 hr delays due to our forthcoming divorce with our European colleagues.

I do hope this is sorted out soon as much as you do.

I've attached the receipts for the latest transactions so you can see that I've done it correctly.

Regards
Steve

====

Yes you've guessed it - he got the attachments. Two separate emails both of 25Mb. So realistically he's downloading 100Mb of email. smile

So they've definitely had another wasted trip to the shop - they may even take these down to the shop again and show them - at which point I'll expect an email advising that these receipts aren't correct. As they say; we'll see.

That diplomat is definitely dodgy; I'm surprised you're not concerned he's playing dumb while running off with the money and the box 😉

ThIs is such a fun read. Well done OP

What would happen if you were to tell Dave that you've checked with your local office and that the funds in one of the transactions have been taken. And that they confirmed that the receiver was Diplomat Dave. Then tell George ...

You do realise that they're one and the same person.
