I like that, whats the spec.
Also, where did you get your rear diffuser?
Its spec was standard GTM Spyder 160 VVC with modified Mk III rear suspension. Also, where did you get your rear diffuser?
I could change the style of the bodywork because the car was painted, but doing this on a gel coat car would have been much harder to do...
The rear diffuser is based on an Elise 111 3 piece unit, narrowed and made to fit!
The brakes were 300mm disks on bells with HiSpec 4 pots front, and 290mm solid rears with MGF calipers.

Looking up the runway at Santa Pod always gives me butterflys - I don't know what does it - I never get nervous on a normal track. Would be good to do it with a bunch of other kit cars though so count me in.

Great idea!

Yeah, why not.

'Lotus' badging?
Oh dear.

Is that a problem?Oh dear.

Most people in NZ have no idea what it is, as we are a bit lacking in the car department....if its not a Holden Commodore or a Ford Falcon in most peoples eyes its not worthy!!
I had some kids tell me what a cool "Beach Buggy" I had!
Lotus badging doesn't hurt.....helps spread the word

I'm not a big 'replica' fan and find the sticking of other manufacturers badges on a bit of a cheat, particularly as it really doesn't look like a Lotus Seven. A bit like a Toyota MR2 pretending to be a Ferarri.
I'd put the builders name on it. Individuality..it's a great thing.

A bit sad really. Too embarrassed to badge it as what it actually is??

nice, well replica's are a big part of the kit car scene unfortunately.... and its not like its a ferrari rep or something that it obviously isnt.I'm not a big 'replica' fan and find the sticking of other manufacturers badges on a bit of a cheat, particularly as it really doesn't look like a Lotus Seven. And yes it does look like a Lotus 7 in my opinion!
Im not embarassed by anything thanks let alone naming my vehicle I spent a lot of time and effort doing myself!
If you don't like it thats cool, im not particularly a fan of GTM Libra's, But thats just my opinion.
Individuality is a great thing, and individuals is what you and I are...
We should all be supportive of one anothers similar goals/hobbies, that is what Pistonheads is (or should be) about..
