Which aftershave do you use?

Relatively new one for me: Maison Margiela - Jazz Club
This stuff is nuts for female attention. I'm not even sure I understand it, tbh. I mean, I like like it, but I can't see where the "wow factor" is, but it does have wow factor, given the reactions it gets
Another one I'm enjoying at the moment is Acqua Di Gio Profumo, really nice scent that I enjoy wearing, and again, complimented on a lot.
Actually, Lord M - I can imagine you liking ADG Profumo, if you haven't already tried it.

Anyone purchased anything from Floris?
I sometimes walk past the shop and always wonder if the fragrances are worth a try, and I've watched a couple of Kirby Allison videos about the place which were pretty interesting. 300 year old history and all that. Make fragrances for royalty etc. They don't seem too outrageously priced at £80-120 for their popular/classic ones, and if you are feeling flush, you can always have them hand make your own bespoke fragrance for £550
The bespoke fragrance thing sounds fun to be honest. You spend two hours in their perfumery while they pour you glasses of Pol Roger, and they work to create your 'ideal fragrance' based on what you like and what occasions you want to wear it, they then write the recipe in their 100 year old ledger books so you can re-order at any time, and you take your fragrance away in a bottle engraved with your name or initials, signed by the perfumer, and in a presentation box.

I totally agree that spending £550 on a fragrance is a very significant spend, and not to be done on a whim, but the experience does sound great. I actually thought their bespoke service would be a lot more than if I'm honest. The 100ml refills of your bespoke fragrance are £180 thereafter, which I think us very reasonable considering they have to hand mix it for you each time. For comparison, 100ml of Aventus is £295 now!
Probably something I'll never get round to doing, but never say never I suppose

I've recently upped my budget but slimmed down my number of scents, never spent this much before but being more selective when I use them and using less (as they are stronger) helps makes them last longer.
The YSL was a gift, I enjoy it but will replace it with something else as my daily once it's used.
The Gucci Oud Intense is lovely, if you're into Oud of course - One of the smoothest ones out there, compared to aqua di parma for example and Tom Ford equivalents I much prefer it.
Penhaligon's got me when I walked past in Covent Garden - They pump Halefeti through a diffuser to reel you in, it worked. It is probably my favourite scent although I actually returned my first bottle as I was convinced it was much weaker than the one I tried on in the shop. The second bottle seemed better but might have been in my head.

I got a selection of 5ml Penhaligons mini bottles for Christmas off my Mum, and Halfeti is my favourite by a long chalk. Would definitely buy a bottle.

A nice haul!
Penhaligon's do the same in Leeds and managed to fuel my addiction for Halfeti and Halfeti Leather, a habit my salary really can't support (so if anyone knows of cheaper alternatives that have similar longevity please let me know).
I did find 100ml for £147 at the airport last week which is a £40 saving over the normal price and it really lasts but it's not really something I can continue to justify when the ~£20 bottle of Bentley stuff is capable of creating a stink cloud around me too.
Yes I was really impressed in Covent Garden, but didn't buy there and then. I was in Bath a week later and my Wife and I both smelled an Old fragrance at the same time and said how nice it was, before realising it was another Penhaligons! A few years back, I bought a ton of 'Copycat Scent' aftershaves and used them religiously for a couple of years. Still have the last of an Oud Intense Aqua di parma rep.
Some were great, others not so - They used to be about £25 for a 100ml EDP so I bought loads, and in a stroke of luck I made a huge order with family when they had a big discount on and they shipped it twice. I went to buy again the other day but their prices are far steeper now sadly.

Defo an evening fragrance, but is excellent. Very unlike anything else in my collection.

I use this and love it but a lot of people seem to like too as it is very difficult to get hold of at the current time. Amazon shops don't have any and neither any of the retail shops in my area. Actually, Lord M - I can imagine you liking ADG Profumo, if you haven't already tried it.

On the website, you can get it for circa £165 I think if you opt for it without a box - The outlet in Portsmouth is where I got my second bottle from though (replacement) and I'll go there in future as it was the same price near enough but got to check the bottle first. I don't know if it is was in my head but I'm sure mine was from a weaker batch online.

Two bottles of that, or something custom made? It’s starting to sound like a bargain.

I had a mooch around for some inspiration, could not find any good deals on the usual higher-end suspects so found a Acqua Di Parma Ezzenza gift box for 84 quid delivered (deo, shower gel and 100ml spray) and will buy the odd higher-end 1ml spray off ebay.
What I used to like about Creed was I could get a whole Virgin Island Water set for about 205 (30ml spray, deo stick and shower gel) and that would do me but i cant even get a set and the aftershave sizes have almost doubled and that is the main reason the prices have sky-rocketed, Creed dont really want to sell 30ml bottles anymore.

I’m currently going with Parfums Vintage Emperor Maximus, which I like apart from the name… Might well check our Essence Vault.
Take a punt on 3 x 100ml for around £45 minus any discount codes you can get. The TF ones are all very good apart from 444(Lost Cherry which isn't strong enough). 291 (F'cking Fabulous gets lots of nice comments and lasts all day and into the night.DanL said:

Would try a bottle of Essence Vault as well at some point.
I really like Creed, but with clones that are so good (possibly even better than the current Aventus formula) you would have to be mental to spend £210 on 50ml of the original IMO. I won't be buying the original again anytime soon.
Some good recommendations here. I've still got a decent amount of my Penhaligons Endymion Concentré which is a very unique scent. For the Maison Margiela fans I can also really recommend 'By The Fireplace' - it's a wonderful and unusual fragrance, almost a shame it's not really for spring/summer.
I love finding new stuff but I really ought to stop buying and slowly work my way through everything I already have...
