One thing, the whole premise of the money-making scheme is frankly ludicrous. I thought that when I read the book, and it's even worse here.
Do elaborate.I did notice that they’d moved the laundering and printing operation to be in Margrave rather than in Venezuela as per the book, as all we saw was ‘new’ money whereas the book as all about the used cash going out of the US via Margrave where it was packed into the AirCon boxes. I assuming having the bleaching and printing in the warehouse made it a bit more visual.

The story for the scheme is as old as the hills. Dashnine said:

Me too, I always end up sticking on them if I’m
flicking through the channels.
I’m looking forward to this, have read all of the books and the trailer looks great.
Really liked the first cruise film, but the second was very bourne and meh flicking through the channels.

Nostalgia of having cruise on screen with Duvall was perfect chemistry
Liking the Amazon series so far, with two left to watch
Finished this last night and over the last week, I thought it was fairly decent and good to see Alan Ritchson as Reacher, he is close to how I imagined him from the books (I always enjoyed him as Hawk in Titans also)
Be good to see the next season, I might re-read the books also start to end as it's been a while and I don't think I read them all the last go around

Finished it last night, it's a long time since I have binged any series on TV.
If you like the books, you'll probably enjoy this visualisation of them.
I thought it worked pretty well, the ending was predictable but if you've read the books you are pretty certain Reacher is going to come out on top and it's going to be violent. I have been accused of being "woke" on here (a pretty pathetic insult and one I find more amusing than damning) but I enjoyed this and although it is very "macho" it does have good strong female characters too.
Look it isn't anything other than popcorn fluff. It was great, I enjoyed it.
I guess the issue is that here there isn't a great song and dance made about 'strong women' or 'positive PoC' they are just well rounded characters (arguably moreso than Reacher himself), unlike a certain space opera I can think ofIf you like the books, you'll probably enjoy this visualisation of them.

Sometimes Reacher needed help, sometimes he helped. Y'know like normal people day to day
I thought that was probably the best TV adaptation of a book I've seen by a distance. It got the details right, the new bits were almost all seamless (with the exception of changing the story of the medal, without which Reacher's backstory loses some depth, but I guess the original would have broken the timeline and required an extra scene). It wasn't a slavish line-for-line filming like the Neil Gaiman adaptations. It was far closer to the source than the Cruise versions. It retained quite a bit of the dry humour from the books, and both Reacher and the other characters were pretty convincing. Some of the fight scenes and the finale were a bit Hollywood if I'm being picky, but if you like Reacher you're probably ok with a bit of suspension of disbelief.
Bring on the next one please.

I do think that Amazon did the Bosch books/ TV series slightly better, but then that's had many more seasons on TV. But Reacher is the best thing Amazon has done since Bosch. I read both of those book sets and they've done pretty well with them to be fair. Bring on the next one please.

I've not read or watched Bosch, but that sounds like a ringing endorsement so will give it a go, cheers. E63eeeeee... said:
