This being PH, and thus full of company directors, I will recommend the Brennenstuhl as being reassuringly expensive.

I have two because I am TOO AWESOME.
I picked one of these up based on your recommendation.https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Brennenstuhl-1951523600...

I should have looked closer; it's made in China junk with no surge protection - straight back to Amazon...
I have new desk things. Look away if mess gives you the heebie-jeebies.
To the left of the keyboard, an Elgato Stream Deck, which does Spotify control, and triggers all sorts of useful things in Windows and Office.
To the right, next to the laptop, Smiffy the wolf, who has a bobble hat, a fez, and a backpack containing a toy sandwich I made out of felt.
There are probably some new fiddle toys too.

A felt sandwich. I knew my desk was missing something.
I actually tidied my desk up a bit by mistake earlier. One of kid's mini scalextric cars needed a new braided track contact thingy fitted., And I knew I bought a small bag of them about a year ago. And I found them on my desk by chance this afternoon. So (a) the car is fixed and (b) the bag of spares is now sellotaped inside the scalextric's box. These are clearly the administrative skills of a god, and I'm going to stick them on my CV.

Tell me about the Stream Deck. I have no intention of streaming but I quite fancy something on my desk that I could use to control my lighting and maybe some Windows/Office triggers. I like desktop "toys".To the left of the keyboard, an Elgato Stream Deck, which does Spotify control, and triggers all sorts of useful things in Windows and Office.

I've been looking at the new "audio" version with the rotary controls. I have no idea how it actually works - how it interfaces with things. Can I use it to trigger anything I want, or does it only have interfaces for certain things?
There are plugins for specific applications - you can browse the store without buying anything. Spotify is one such.
Then there are direct Windows controls - volume, screen brightness, that sort of thing.
Next are hot keys - any single key press (including modifiers such as shift).
And you can combine things into multiactions, so a keypress, a delay, typing some text, a delay, unmuting.
It can change "page" based on what application you're using. And you can change text and icon for each button on each page.

Probably a bit late to comment, but I bought one of these off Amazon and the wiring internally was shocking - the mains cable was attached to the rest of the strip using those awful twist connectors and was a bit frayed. Ended up re-terminating the wires and attaching them with wagos, much safer.goldar said:
How do you all have such neat looking work stations? Does nobody get any work done?
Mines got bits of paper, cables, tools, and other assorted tat all over it.
You take the pic straight after you have put it all together, before you sit down at the desk for the first time.Mines got bits of paper, cables, tools, and other assorted tat all over it.
(Mine now has fidget toys, sheets of childrens stickers, post that needs sorting etc etc etc all over it)

I don't know how people can work in messy environments. Mine's about as bad as it gets- desk probably slightly clearer than the worst I'll tolerate, but I've got an empty corny keg that used to have my Belgian Dubbel and a mate's PC that I'm fixing cluttering up the space behind my chair (which you can just about make out the reflections of).

I'm off on Friday so I'll probably spend an hour clearing it properly. I also have another worktop in the garage which is going to go on top of my IKEA Kallax storage at the side which I need to get Danish oiled and fitted.
That desk looks great. May I ask - what are the details of the wooden desktop (size/make)? Also it looks like the drawer unit it connected to the desk, how does that work when you raise the desk?

A quick question..
Working at home.
Work laptop, currently driving 2 monitors. Laptop tucked away.
I was thinking of getting one monitor.
Such as Samsung 34”
Deal: Samsung LS34J552WQRXXU 34" SJ55 Ultra Wide WQHD 1440p LED Monitor - 3440x1440, HDMI, DisplayPort https://amzn.eu/d/2YzPHyf
Could I view outlook/teams/other desktops on the one screen please?

Going that wide I'd at least consider a curved monitor.
Certainly you can have them all open and tiled. It's a bit subjective as to if the resulting window size is "enough" for each application, in particular RDP can require a little or a lot depending what you are doing in it.
You know what res your current screens are. Arrange what you've got so those applications are arranged in 3440 wide, estimate the 1440 high if there isn't that much vertical resolution and see if the result is what you want.
I'd be a bit tight in it, but I really like screen space.

Feasable, but I'm not a fan. I've got a 34" ultrawide (bit of curve, it's not that wide). But for example remote desktop it's a lot more convenient to have it full screen. I love having two screens. I now have a 34" and 27" as a secondary (same height, just 1/3rd less wide)Working at home.

The OH has an ultrawide and her laptop propped up (15"), which is also a great solution. It all depends on your workflow and applications for example.
I sometimes work on a server-side application where I can make use of all the screen real estate I get, so I have the remote desktop full screen on the 34".
At that point you're for example searching for something or want to read an e-mail relating to the work to be done and it's great to have a second screen.
Another consideration are video meetings and having to share your screen. I always share just a "window", which might not be ideal. Sharing a full screen 34" is a terrible idea for most (especially if you're using Teams, Zoom is a lot better in that aspect).
TL;DR : Do it, but keep a second screen. Either one of your 24" or prop up your laptop. I can almost guarantee you're going to miss having two screens otherwise.
A great tool is displaywars.com to get an idea of relative size.
