I'm a bit behind so apologies if already posted but given the previous sale has fallen through does anyone fancy the old home of an eccentric hoarder that married his dog?

Note: It comes with the dead body of the gentleman in question.

"Please note that there will be contents remaining inside and outside the property upon completion"

There's a bit more insight to be had here (warning: Daily Mail) and here but it looks like his modded Kia Rio is still parked up and comes with the deal.

It’s a horrid area. My g/f’s mother has a large Victorian house very close by - can’t see this being worth much.

On streetview it didn't look too bad on historic images from 2009 and 2012.

Offers above £1 Million for "A Scandinavian designed architectural masterpiece" that looks like its not been touched since the 70's apart from the modern kitchen!

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/118831784#/...

To me it looks like the a house thrown up in the 60's and 70's in the new towns like Telford (where i'm from)

Yeah... "Designed by a Scandinavian" isn't the same as "Scandinavian Design".

Zero Court Drive - not sure it’s so bad if you look past the furnishings and varnish.

By "elsewhere", you presumably mean "four posts above this one"?

I never realised there was such a market for black themed wedding venues... It looks more like its been used for another kind of 'event'...

It doesn't mention listed status or similar but places like this often have restrictions on what you can do with them (covenants, etc), so you end up where things like the wood panelling can't be removed.

Years ago I did some work on some houses on Blackheath which had been completely wired in pyro, just because the architect liked the copper (which didn't help much when one of the kitchens had a fire biggrin), and he had covenanted the hell out of the houses so that everything had to go back exactly as original. The main structure of the houses was poured concrete and ironically it turned out (after I spoke to BICC) that if you use pyro clipped to a concrete environment, you should use the sheathed stuff because concrete and copper don't get on very well long-term.

Mineral-insulated copper-clad cable, MICC for short and generally known as pyro (short for pyrotenax). The copper conductors are inside a thin copper tube which is filled with some sort of inert mineral as the insulator. Can be (PVC?) sheathed or not. Used for it's fire resistance in areas where that is a risk. You have to cap off the ends with pots (glands) so it'f a faff to fit. Very long time since I used it though!

Thank you. I knew about the fire resistant stuff, but assumed you were talking about something else.
