lol the RS3 would under steer off into the first hedge if pushed properly hard on a B road
True. Or chew through it's tyres trying to hang-on ...

I sold my RS3 and bought a GRMN. I love it ... although the two way dampers are harsh on speed bumps ... no fast bump !

All road cars are set up to understeer. My guess is that the limits of the RS3 front end grip are very high for road use. Probably very similar to the Yaris, just over 1g as a guess.
My GRMN doesn't.

My GT4 scrubbed the outer edge of it's front tyres until I modified it ... and on MPSuper Sports at Oulton last week we were pulling 1.49 g in Shell Oils (a banked right-hander) and 1.37 g on a non banked left-hander ... I guess Hislops.

A good chassis with modern tyres re-calibrates everything ...

My GRMN has done a 2:12 at Oulton ... and did it well. It was fab until I ran out of brakes .. no fade, just no pads left !

The GT4 is 1:55 / 56 ... but it's 427bhp / 340 ft lbs and 1400 kilos ....

My first Toyota Yaris (built in Japan when they first launched) did 120k miles in six years and in that time apart from routine servicing it needed only a new battery and front brake discs ... even the exhaust was original.
Four kids learnt to drive on it ... and when I sold it the cost to change to a 5000 mile six month old demonstrator was £5000 ...
Amazing ...
And my GRMN also has a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty ...

Just got off the blower, dealer will call me to put my order through over the phone since I've already left a deposit.

Interestingly the website the e-mail links to has very specifically chosen shots of the interior.

The background pic at the top of the page showing the interior has trimmed off top of the dash to verify the HUD, nor can you see the bottom of the A-pillar to determine if the JBL stereo is there.

I had 2 very excited voicemails in quick succession from my dealer saying "it's on the system, call me back now!", only to have him answer the phone "False alarm" and promise a call back tomorrow morning. laugh

If you scroll to the bottom of the Toyota page (https://www.toyota.co.uk/world-of-toyota/toyota-gazoo-racing/gr-yaris/specs) for the car you can see the full interior on the specifications link image.

I was very interested when the GR Yaris was first announced. Got the email today, so put a deposit down.

Not sure which spec or colour as yet, so would like to wait to see what the reviews are like. Does anyone have an idea when the motoring press are likely to get their hands on production cars to run road and track tests?

In the meantime found this video of Fernando Alonso, Chris Meeke and José Garcia López having fun in a fun-filled 3-car race at the Estoril, disguised as 'Hot Laps': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IyHMbAH5ms

This is a cool car. Would love one, but don’t really have a use for it. Would be interested to see the figures or cars being spec’d with or without the Circuit Pack.

That really sucketh, but this probably to be expected -- or has the BPM extortion gotten even worse this year? Just curious -- do they list the net price as well (without BPM or BTW)? Wondering how much it is compared to the 28 to 29k € they cost net in the rest of EU...

This looks great but wondering why the scramble for tomorrow? Is it just because you simply can't wait, or is this a limited production run vehicle?

Can you Imagine being a Toyota dealer at the moment having to put up with the amount of nerds coming in ordering these things

I’d imagine they’re pleased to get the business confused
