Presume the missing chef was the bloke seen back of shot behind Frenchie with the blue bandana on?

I started a post on this yesterday, and Truckosaurus said: 'I read on the Twitter, so it must be true, that the contestant had a row with the judges and flounced. I suspect that if you do behave badly on the professional series they don't want to give you any publicity, whereas they'd leave in any aggro during the amateur series.'

A pity they couldn't have said so, rather than try to brush it under the carpet. Truth will out eventually of course!

He was shockingly bad. I did laugh when he said he had spent a summer on cruise ships making the same dish he was messing up. Why would you say that?

I think he was just making the pancackes in the kitchen - he had a good pan flip. The flambe bit at the table would be done by the waiter in an old school kind of way... Let himself down very badly under pressure.

Another theory I saw on Reddit earlier,

"apparently the fourth contestant cooked something that whatever restaurant or establishment he was part of had the intellectual rights to, so he had to be removed once that came to light."

When he came in for the crepe test and was announced as an experienced pastry chef, i said "he's going to walk this"

He then proceed to fk up the batter in the first 10 seconds and the car crash began...

I think the worst thing you can say if pastry chef as people expect you to be an expert in that department. Just say chef put less pressure on yourself.

Was a bloke who said he'd only ever worked in Michelin star kitchens.

Said to my missus he'll be out first.

Guess what happened...

The abruptness did seem to smell of something legal to me. An excellent re-edit job though; the only shot that looked odd was in the intro where the four contestants walk towards the camera. The definition looked lower which would fit with someone at one end being cropped off. Otherwise you'd never have known, and they spread three contestants over the hour just as well as four.

But surely you should be an expert in pastry if you're calling yourself a pastry chef? It's a specialism within the general trade

He said he'd been a pastry chef for three year when speaking to Monica so it's not like he started the week before Masterchef

Probably a bit of an anti-climax about why the edit happened.

If a contest really did tell Marcus to ‘go fk himself’ they should definitely have broadcast it. Best. TV. Ever. hehe
Yeah that would have been great telly...

TV gold if that had happened. I would love to have seen that if true.

The contract, employment theory is far too dull.
