Saw this last night and it’s certainly good but after all the hype on this thread, it was a bit of an anti-climax if I’m honest. Don’t get me wrong, it was a very good film but it definitely had a few bum notes too so not the AMAZING experience that everyone was touting.
For full disclosure I’m fully invested in this franchise and while it’s certainly up there with the good Marvel films, it’s not the very best. A good way to end this phase and a great ending for some of the character arcs.
I still need to process a lot of it. The build up and first 2 thirds where very good, let down by a weak final third. It also has logical flaws aplenty, OK some people will argue it’s all suspension of belief stuff anyway but when you spend most of the film establishing those rules, breaking them at the end seems a bit off.
Overall 8/10 for me

Was forced to see the 3D version as the 2D screen had problems so they moved us.
Looks awful in 3D and no reason to see it in this format. Nothing flying at you and no depth.
Plus it was so dark it was hard to see.
Pointless.
It was filmed in IMAX. The whole film. So yes there is a point seeing it in 3D IMAX. Looks awful in 3D and no reason to see it in this format. Nothing flying at you and no depth.

Normally I'd agree, but I figure if any cinema in the country is going to do 3D right it's going to be the BFI IMAX. And I'd love to see the film in the correct ratio. Are there even any full size IMAX 2D screenings of the film in this country?Looks awful in 3D and no reason to see it in this format. Nothing flying at you and no depth.

I'm in London on May 15th and have a few hours free, I noticed they are still playing the movie at the BFI IMAX but it's in 3D. I'd love to see it in Imax but have never really liked 3D, is it worth it as the only way to see a full screen presentation?
I prefer to avoid 3D, but I do like the BFI IMAX. Worth a visit if you’ve never been. Went last night with my sons who are 10 and 7. They love Marvel and I quite enjoy it. I reckon they could easily have edited 30 mins out with no loss. In fact it would have made it better. I looked at my watch quite frequently which is not a great sign.
Sad face when Tony died, pleased Cap got to go and live his life and new mellow Hulk and self-pitying Thor where decent character journeys.
It was rip-roaring load of fun with many more good moments than bad. A solid 7/10 from me. I definitely will not go to see it a second time though.
