It's been mooted for ages though and still nothing. Even the touting of a series called Mega City One on Netflix has gone quiet. Very annoying and no guarantee Urban would commit. Agreed, he nails Dredd.
I watched a Midnight's Edge video about it recently. THere was a financial company set up a few months ago. When it gets financial it gets serious.Veeayt said:
This one? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5719748/
The trailer makes it pretty clear it's got fairly significant comedic elements, so I'm a little confused. The original Norwegian film isn't called Cold Pursuit.I recently revisited "Come and See".
A Russian made film recounting the Nazi genocide by the SS Einsatzgruppen in Beylorussia.
f
k me it's grim.
But for this very reason it's one of the most compelling and accurate war films ever made.
Definitely worth a watch, if not for s
t and giggles

Hurricane
I love WW2 stuff and don’t mind a bit of Boys Own poetic license.
But bloody hell if you are going to do CGI make it a bit lifelike and the Battle of Britain action a bit realistic
Apparently most Hurricane 109 dogfights took place at a distance of 50 yards, no one took evasive action when being shot at, and when pilots ran out of ammo the ran their propeller into the tail plane of the enemy while they flew perfectly steady
Annoying and hamfisted 1 o’ 9

Solo - it was alright. Only Star Wars film I've seen where I really can't think of much to say about it, good or bad. Train sequence was quite well done, nothing stood out as outright bad, but it just felt pointless.
We just watched it this evening. I thought it was rotten. I get the Star Wars thing, I get the back-story thing but it was just a rotten movie. Bit of a let down really. On the other hand, Rogue One, which is a similar stand-alone, Star Wars back-story film remains one of my favourites out of the whole franchise.
Thor : Ragnarok
I watched Infinity War a week or two back and was quite disappointed - and it seems I watched them in the wrong order anyway. But watched Ragnarok last night and loved it.
I laughed several times and thought it was very well made. Really enjoyed it and worth 10/10 for me (even though I accept that it wasn't a particularly complicated plot).

Went to the pics yesterday and watched a double bill of Batman and Batman Returns. There was also an actor from the first film who shared some fantastic stories at half time.
Mildly surprised at my reaction to the two films. Loved the first when it came out, thought it was gritty, grimy, and nothing like the tv series. But yesterday I felt it was a lot like the tv series, shots and edits, and more farcical than I would have recalled. I've probably seen it more than once but it's not one I felt like I could have rewatched over, like some films, I realised why yesterday. It was an early film for Burton and this can be seen, some rough/sharp edits, makes it a but disjointed, and not enough thought put into continuity or plot. The tone was a lot lighter. Beforehand my mate said the second was probably a better film though. I agree, it's more polished, better edits, but there's still some very strange plot gaps. Acting is better too, Michelle Pfeiffer is just amazing, she was top of her game. Max Shreck was in another film, just amazing, Overall, glad I watched them, nice to see, but I won't need to watch them again.
Mate said that, these are so farcical/silly (whatever) imagine how the Schmacher ones would seem now! ergh.

The Babadook has just been added to Prime.
One of my all time favourite horror films, got the missus to watch it for the first time lastnight. I've seen it maybe 3 or 4 times now and it still gets me...fantastic blend of horror and psychological thriller.
Definately recommend.
I'll look out for it. Hereditary is being added to Amazon Prime this week too, I think on Wednesday 13th. Grim it certainly is - good film though & well worth a watch. A Russian made film recounting the Nazi genocide by the SS Einsatzgruppen in Beylorussia.

Molly's Game (2017)
Olympic hopeful skier ends up running high-end, star studded poker games in LA & NYC with inevitable outcome.
Entertaining stuff, based on true(ish) events; although usual over-egging for the screen. Way to long at 2hr 20 mins - could been wrapped up in 90 mins imo.

We were in hysterics when we saw the CGI and just couldn't continue past that. If they aren't going to put any effort in then it's not having an hour and a half of my life.

The Favorite
Stellar acting, great cast, the quintisential Film4 flick - not really something for the American audience. Really enjoyed it and quite amusing in lots of parts
Rightly gets 99% ratings

I found it mostly unfunny and left the cinema feeling utterly depressed at the state of the human experience. Stellar acting, great cast, the quintisential Film4 flick - not really something for the American audience. Really enjoyed it and quite amusing in lots of parts
