ACPO an "unaccountable club"

Yes, Steve Callaghan ( pitmansboots). A rather odious and repulsive little man who works for Road Safety Support Ltd, part of ACPO plc. If you google his name, there's lots of interesting facts about him!

It's a shame the PH photoshop fraternity don't seem to visit SP&L much.

Perhaps someone should start a "Photoshop Steve Callaghan" topic in The Lounge?
Just saying like....

He can hardly complain... Steve is a Photoshop artist himself, having once posted a picture of me with a Santa hat on!Just saying like....

Is it there yet?

It's a shame I don't have the photoshop skills to start the topic off. Anyone willing to do the honours?

ACPO, it's a private, for profit company.
Personally I think it's disgusting and dodgy as hell.
I can't believe that I never knew! Just done some reading up on it, yes can definitely see why there might be conflict of interested. I'm pretty gobsmacked to be honest Personally I think it's disgusting and dodgy as hell.

I raised this link before in another discussion on here but the resident "double act" begged to differ. Perhaps they'll surface again.

Not everyone at ACPO is a senior policeman!
However I accept the bit about them serving their own interests... especially the RSS division!
Their so called expert who wrote the speed meter handbook has shown at times to be a bit less expert than he claims, lies about his other (failed) business interests, and his membership of a professional body!
I wonder if Ken McDonald is even aware of that little bed of thorns yet?
Is this the sad little weasel of a man that I think it is? I had been told that he worked for a SCP, but now understand that it is this self-serving shower of b*stards. However I accept the bit about them serving their own interests... especially the RSS division!

Paul Smith.
Founder of SafeSpeed and a devastating critic of UK Road policing policies.

Needs a longer nose.
Difficult when head on, but if you compare the original...Somewhere on my old PC there is a pic of Steve enjoying a "track" day at Bruntingthorpe as guests of REDSPEED, next to a speeding truck!
He then featured on their website endorsing their products - so hardly an impartial "expert" witness!

Steve's clearly a man of many talents then! Lying (under oath and about his past) and photoshopping skills. Pretty much sums up the scamera "industry".
It's a shame I don't have the photoshop skills to start the topic off. Anyone willing to do the honours?

It's only fair that Pitsmansboots/steve Callaghan be allowed to give his side of the story.
Anything to say, Mr. C?
Indeed it is, and no ones prevented from giving his side...Anything to say, Mr. C?

Perhaps you need to listen to those who know first hand what Steve's like?

Actually haven't ever made any comments about ACPO with reference to conflicts on interest and transparency to the best of my knowledge. You have me confused with someone else I suspect.
I've also read a lot of what you and other contributors have posted on this forum and I stand by my assessment of "b

If anyone's confused, it must be you! Let me refresh your memory:

You're entitled to your opinion re "b

There's a member on here who can quote endless examples of Steve Callaghan's lies. From what the member has told me, Callaghan deserves everything he gets and more.

No, they are just responding in kind to Pitmansboots previous posts, when he makes personal attacks himself.
Is the libertarian society having a slow day?
It's not just on PH - he has recently been banned from UK POLICE ONLINE!

I've read loads of stuff about him on this forum and through links others have posted. I don't see what that has to do with anything. Is he actually a member of ACPO? Do you condemn a whole organisation based on it's association with this one man?

ks" but I will also add "conspiratorial crap" for good measure
He works for RSS - a subsidiary of ACPO, and in version 1 of the ACPO speed meter guide, Steve Callaghan is acknowledged as editor and contributing author... http://www.northants.police.uk/files/linked/safer-...Actually haven't ever made any comments about ACPO with reference to conflicts on interest and transparency to the best of my knowledge. although in version 1.1 his name has been omitted. http://www.acpo.police.uk/documents/uniformed/2011...
The OP has a quote from Ken MacDonald, former DPP who also describes the ACPO as composed of "senior policemen who have tended over the years to serve their own interests".
The assertion in many posts here is that Steve Callaghan also serves his own interests, and lacks the honesty and integrity required to do his job.
I don't think it unfair to point this out - he is a liar and it has been proven that he is a liar elsewhere and on PH
He breaks forum rules by using multiple login names - often using one personality to support the arguments of another.
Finally his arrogance is what really shows him up for what he is... as typified here:
