No idea of my top 10 but I know "some like it hot" would be there for me.

If anyone has not seen it then you have missed out.

I don't know if they intended it to be there, but I thought it was one of the funniest films of all time! Other highlights include Nicolas Cage roundhousing a woman and Nicolas Cage dressed in a bear costume..

Also "HOW DID IT BURN?!! HOW DID IT BURN?!HOW DID IT BURN?!! HOW DID IT BURN?!!!"

hehe

How can nobody have mentioned the Godfather?

And Hot Fuzz? Almost the worst thing I've ever actually watched from start to finish, second only to Shaun of the Dead.
Not a Sean Pegg fan then! I like comedies but never find them as amusing once I get to the 3rd/4th/5th viewing. Hot Fuzz and The Hangover are the only exceptions to this. I used to live near Wells, Somerset (where the bulk of Hot Fuzz was filmed), so maybe that's part of it and it looked like they had so much fun shooting it! Yes it's a bit cheesy but the shootout at the end is quality and I think subliminally the very last scene where they answer the 999 call in the Impreza WRX led me to go out and buy one several years later!

Never had the patience to make it through the Godfather to be honest!

I stand by my top 10 but when I think about it more carefully, there are lots more that could have easily been in there.

Rain Man
A Few Good Men
Mission: Impossible
Ocean's Eleven (modern version)
Old School (another great comedy)

...and one to watch with the kids: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (although I still even now find the childcatcher a bit scary)!

I forgot about the departed, the original Infernal Affairs trilogy could well be on my list.

A few years back I was commuting between Glasgow and Edinburgh by train. I was on a mobbed carriage one day and managed to secure a seat, I was just about falling asleep when I heard a familiar voice in the seat across the aisle, and opened my eyes to see a girl a few rows down looking at me nodding vigorously, it took a few seconds to place the voice but it was, of course, Peter Mullan. He was discussing some theatre project in detail, with what was either a theatre reviewer and/or critic. Eventually the girl who clocked I had recognised who it was, plucked up the courage to ask him to sign something for her, "Certainly darling, what's your name"?

Not only is he a tremendous actor, but a top bloke.

Great film, one of my favourites too, bleak as hell, nobody does that better than Peter Mullan.

Was released just after My Name Is Joe, but there's another film which I think was by the same Director called Sweet Sixteen.

If you like My Name Is Joe you'll like Sweet Sixteen.
