Probably making up the rules to suit myself but I always think of the Miura as a 1960s car (although it was still on sale in the 1970s). Countach was also introduced in the 1970s but the 1980s Countach was the one I had up on my bedroom wall! Wasn't the Fulvia a 1960s car?
Yes right on all counts if you look at launch dates but they were all available in the 70's which is where I am doing my imaginary shopping

Blimey that's harsh - 1969 and I'll bet they weren't actually available here until february 1970.
C'mon, its a late '60s copy of an early '60's British sports car.

Here are mine:

Porsche 924turbo (1979) 140mph and 30mpg

S-Class hotrod

Well google thought it was a '74 911 RS. It may well be a recreation of some sort [ETA: Found it, apparently its a '74 RS inspired' build using a '78 SC body and an assortment of other bits] but I don't really care, its gets the general point across. This one will do instead if you're worried about it. Its not a genuine RS but it is a 1974.

Hey, this is Pistonheads; if I can't a pedant about varieties of 911 here where else is there?

So do you lust after a 1974 2.7 Carrera:

or a IROC RSR?

Or a hotrod built in the last few years like the blue one?

SS7
PS I did let you off the retro-mod Datsun…..

Some really good choices already for previous posters

I've already scratched most of my 70's car itch but there has always been one car that I've always loved the look of and never had the good fortune to see in the flesh never mind drive.

I think it's the only really beautiful car that bmw have ever produced:

I know there are lots of fantastic '70 cars out there, but I just can't help looking at this. Perhaps because it's still comparatively affordable.
