You're also going to need a transmission that is capable of handling that power/torque too. I suspect the ZF/Torqueflite in the 8sp Demon would be an option - but a quite expensive one.

I would put this in a Delorean with a Porsche transalxle.

Might actually set the road on fire

Niiiice.
A Delorean that could hit 188mph would make up for lost time.

Wonder if you could shoehorn that into a Jaguar XJC?

How many off the shelf (or shall we say crate) gearboxes, diffs, driveshafts etc are available that can handle 950ft/lbs of torque?
Liking the Jensen/Bristol/xjc options.

Transmission wise, there's plenty of Powerglides, TH400's with manual valve bodies that'll cope with up to North of 2000lbs/ft available from mail order sites (JW / Rossler etc). Manual gearboxes, not so much - T56's can be upgraded to take a decent amount of abuse.

Surely for the cost of doing so, a custom 6.0 litre super/turbo-charged Jaguar V12 would be far more appropriate.

Plenty, in the US at least – a suitable transmission from the likes of ATI will set you back around $9000, though, but you could probably get away with less. Aftermarket Ford 9" axle housing with a Wavetrac and stronger shafts should sort the rear end out. Moser or Strange would be my first port of call.

If you want a manual, you could talk to G-Force. If you've not got the traction, though, you could probably get away with something a little less stout. https://www.gforcetransmissions.com/tran_gt-56.asp

In a 911 please.

Remove for troublesome flat 6 and implant an LSx or this in a 911 C4S.

Oh my. That is amazing. The Charger is a fantastic piece of design anyway but this is unreal.

The details state the 1000hp is generated on 93 Octane! And the motor can rev to 7000rpm. Too much in a road car? smile
to avoid possible confusion... the US octane figure of 93 is equivalent to 98 or so in the UK

the US uses a different method to calculate octane ratings

I love the way that, since The Donald took charge, companies like Chrysler have rallied to the "F*** climate change, let's give 'em what they really want" and now tease the world with these creations. Forget 93 octane 'gas' that Super Charger is probably 'Rollin' Coal' powered - Wyoming's finest export. Those rear light exit exhausts aren't exhausts - they're horizontal 'stacks'!

the guys who designed and built this "Super Charger" iteration of the 1968 Dodge Charger

talk on camera about what they did

and they fire up the Hellephant crate engine, too

the second half of the video is slow pans accompanied by a rock track -- not bad if you go full screen with external speakers (or headphones)
