There is a staue of the great man and his Basset hound in Hungary. Road trip anyone? ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
I have a Basset now partly because Columbo had one, and because there was one in Smokey and the Bandit and The Dukes of Hazzard.
LOL, I thought that was just me... Was gonna call him "Dog", but he ended up Roscoe. He's as thick as **** too..![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

I have always loved Columbo (blame my Mum, grew up watching them, all Agatha Christie who dunnits then later Midsomer)
I never get bored of watching them when I can. I hope they never stop showing them!![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I was also lucky enough to get the box set off my MIL a few years ago.
It is sad that Peter Falk barely remembered playing the role in the end.

Did you catch McGoohan say on the phone " i'll be seeing you".
I noticed him say it on two occasions. IMHO this is the best episode of the entire series. Leslie Neilsen features too, although he doesn't survive for long, as does a telephone equipped Citroen SM. There definitely was a pattern of giving the villain a seriously cool car."You are in the wrong room" - Brilliant!
Loads on at the weekend, but I only watched, Now You See HIm, one of my faves, Cassidy is one of my fave baddies.
Noticed a few things I've not noticed before, always the case with COlumbo. Love how Santini realises...too late, that removing the hancuffs on stage is what Columbo wants, but it's either release the cuffs, or look like he can't to the audience. Columbo..the master chess player.

Couple of nice Ferrari’s "You are in the wrong room" - Brilliant!
Blofelts wine loving brothers convertible and planet of the apes Daytona.
Another favourite episode of mine is,
Columbo goes to college
Columbos reputation for misleading all those involved in a case, is reinforced with an Oscar winning performance as the dopey detective, the two trust fund babies never knew what hit them!
The gadgets/technology used on screen must have been hot off the production line and seemed so whizz bang at the time..
Off topic, but I will never forget the scummy "news article" and the accompanying photographs of Peter Falk walking down a busy street somewhere in Hollywood, looking dishevelled in his pajamas, acting erratically displaying symptoms of alzheimers (possible side effect from dental treatment)
(Has anybody seen the celebrity "roast" (or awards ceremony?) where Falk appears on stage in character as Columbo! Pretty funny to watch.)
