What the hell was the film that was on every Christmas in the mid 80s around lunchtime-ish that was a kids film that had a load of what I remember as ping pong balls or something, the balls were possibly alien and alive.

Sorry about the vague description, I was around 8 or so when I used to see some of the film and then get called in to lunch and therefore miss the rest.

Wow, there's a lot of films noted here which I've not seen for decades and others I totally forgot about.

I was/am a fan of the original Transformers the Movie animated film and I have never, ever seen it on terrestrial tv when we just had the 3-4 channels or on any cable/satellite channels. I've always wondered why.

You Beauty, That has bugged me for years.

And it is on YouTube !

That has led me down a whole rabbit hole of other Childrens Film Foundation stuff too.

Who remembers the old Sinbad films with the stop motion animated monsters etc? Or Jason and the Argonauts?

When I saw the Sinbad film with the cyclops I was about 6, that thing scared the st out of me for years!!
Jason and the Argonauts has been on fairly recently.

Someone mentioned Conan the Barbarian as one of those films where it's alsways the remake that's shown. I'd add The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 to that list.

A few films that were on TV years ago but I've never seen in a long time - 11 Harrrowhouse (Charles Grodin) and Heist (Warren Beatty/Goldie Hawn).
The original Conan movies have been on Sky for quite a while this year, they had a whole Arnie selection no doubt tied-in with the Terminator film coming out

Watched the original last week, think it was TCM or Talking Pictures.

I didn't realise they had colours as names, as in Reservoir Dogs. smile

Battle Beyond the Stars. Proper 80’s cheesy sci fi with a good cast, George Peppard, Richard Thomas and Robert Vaughan.

Loved the film as a kid
