Adore my E38 and had to have it because that spec looks so good in the film. It’s not quite the perfect match, as it’s a 740i with grey interior. E38’s are wonderful to own and drive, peak restrained BMW style with quality to match.

Also have a couple of period accessories because I’m a saddo!

One day I’d love a DBS, wouldn’t we all!

Unfortunately, the top 2 never got into serial production.
The CX-75: https://uncrate.com/p/2019/01/jaguar-c-x75-1.jpg

and the DB10: https://uncrate.com/p/2019/01/jaguar-c-x75-1.jpg

Were there any others?

I've decided that I definitely need that 750i in my life now. Very nice.
Bloody lovely isn't it?
And I have absolutely no need for it at all, but I want it.

V8 Volante in living daylights was always my favourite, but I do also like the Cougar in OHMSS (DBS is also very nice too of course!)

That shape of 7 series, is still my favorite "large car" design, and polar opposite of the gash that bmw designs these days.

A nice condition 7 series can still be bought for relative peanuts, maybe not the 750 mind.

Fun article.
I’ve already got a 1971 series 3 in the same colour so there’s 1 ticked off.
Next I would have an Esprit then a 2CV.
A double decker with the roof ripped off and a broken in half Renault 11 would be fun.

Esprit with skis on the back all day long. Copper Fire and Tan, with Mars Gold accents, just like the Exige homage the factory made for me; BondExige. Loved that car!

And as a daily drive the E38, still the best BMW ever by a country mile.

Was the Mustang the one that went into the alley on one set of wheels and emerged with the other set in the air?
Although I think it was a 71 not a 70 as seen here, feels like they've crowbarred that one in a bit, got the wrong face.

Could have had numerous Sunbeam Alpines.

What a crap film Diamonds... was, couldn't even get that stunt right
Stop getting Bond wrong... he put the car on 2 wheels then dropped it down and put it back up on the opposite 2 wheels at 4 mins in on this clip

I'll take the DBS or Dalton's Vantage.
Your wide of the mark, if you read up on the stunt you will see that during filming they shot the car going in one way but someone else filmed the exit, during post production they noticed the mistake so added the extra part with Bond switching wheels which was ludicrous as no room in the alleyway.

Looks like AM pre-empted the current off-road supercar fad.

If they'd flipped the shot of it going in to the alley it would have been more convincing - cut a bit where you can see the occupants, which would give the game away a bit, and I'm not sure many would notice the licence plate being mirrored.

It's just mad to me that nobody thought to check before filmed the Vegas shot - or vice versa depending which was shot first.

Just further adds to Diamonds being a stinker

Would love to have seen both the Z3 & particularly a Z8 on the Bond list. If I had the money I'd have to own an Alpina Z8.
