Have you had Speed 6 problems or otherwise
Discussion
t350 bought March 2006 (55 plate)
Used almost daily in all weathers (12 mile trip to work), now up to 24,000 miles.
Longest run Yorkshire to Chaminix in one day, returned a week later - faultless performance.
Problems:
New radiator (Automedon special - copper and brass)
Broken throttle cable
Oil use between services - nil
Water use since new radiator - one top up since last service
I'm absolutely delighted with the car but am thinking of upgrading the suspension, possibly to either Racing Reds or Gaz Golds.
Happy to answer any questions.

full engine rebuild @17K dur to big end failure.
mine supposedly one of the later (04)sorted ones
TVR power standaerd now 2y guarentee
Dom reconed "cheap indian con rods" from which i interprate they were still fitting some of the engines with dodgey bits even in 04 when they were sorted

Bought an early Tuscan late 2000, needed top end repair just after I sold it at about 16.5k miles, got one of the last good will rebuilds. It was apparently written off in 2004, but I saw it at Diamond Rock all apparently going OK without further engine work.
I have a S6 Cerbera 2001 but with less than 18k miles done. It goes nicely and has had recent compression test with no problems. I always warm it through well before booting, use race grade oil and service regularly. Dulford who look after it know of several early Speed 6's with big miles and no rebuilds. It would seem there is an element of luck but also no doubt that consistently well cared for engines do much better.

Jason Clegg is your man. His company is STR8 Six based in Henly on Thames and specialises in Speed 6 & 8 Engine work. His number is 07834 739307. I can thoroughly recommend him. He's just rebuilt my '03 Speed Six (that developed terminal problems @26k miles despite the best treatment) to Red Rose 4.0 ltr spec - see below. His work is competitively priced (although that does mean big bucks) and he is a really knowledgeable guy having been an engine builder at the factory and couldn't be more helpful. Tell him Clive sent you!
Get your Uncle to email me if he wants to talk about it some more.

I had a bloody awful drive through London yesterday. Was stuck in traffic all the way from the M23 to my final arrival in Fulham (Come in you Irons!), 2 hours of stopping and starting.
In all that time, although the engine temp rose to as high as 92C, I had absolutely no problems at all. Wouldn't want to do it every day though
