So the Doctor isn't a Gallifreyan/Time Lord? Really?
Appears so. We saw that woman go travelling and discover the child at a gateway to another universe.

Complete gobbledegook nonsense. Utter garbage end to a garbage series.

I enjoyed that, in fact I think the last 3 episodes have been the best TV Dr Who for some time.

I'm glad I dodged the spoilers from earlier in the week laugh

I agree with the poster above though, I enjoyed it as a middle aged fan, but I'm not sure what my 7 year old self would have made of it, but that's been the case since ~series 3 of the reboot...

Was it just me, or was the big drums cyberman music of the this week's and last week's episodes that loud it was making it hard to hear the talking? The rest of the episodes were fine, but once that drum theme started... I gave in this week and turned on the subtitles. If it makes any difference, watched it in iPlayer with TV speakers.

10 year old wasn’t paying attention. 12 year old watched it intently before declaring that it was “like fan-fiction”. Didn't approve of them messing with canon, I think.

Cant we just go back to Dr Who being fun instead of a geek fest, cant imagine many children watch it these days.
If some viewers want to regard it as a documentary, let them enjoy it that way. Rational people will know it for what it is, sci-fi hokum.

I quite enjoyed the finale, the Master was excellent... I thought Sacha completely stole the show from Jodie.
yes He really did. You could feel the seething anger that Sacha was putting into the Master. Brilliantly played.

Ditch her and keep him.

He literally acted her off the screen, I didn't even notice she was there.
To be fair, she spent half of the episode in a paralysis field being hand fed the story.

So a major success going from strength to strength then

If I recall correctly the viewing figures for Dr Who always tail off as the season progresses.

I have to say that I also liked Michelle Gomez as the Master/Missy.

Exactly its nothing to be concerned with
Besides viewing figures are just one outcome. Educating people and not taking the easy option of making stuff people like to see is a brave choice

Thought we had better watch this as its the last one. Not seen any of them for several years even before begby was the doctor.
They all seem to still run around like they want to go for a wee .

Well I don't know whether to be pleased that this abomination has concluded or sad that we will all have to suffer another series next year with the same writers and the far too excited Jodie as the Doctor. The Master and the "Other Doctor" were credible performers in a bad storyline but everything else was just confusing patronising drivel.

Robbed from another forum but I think this sums it up hehe
The Doctor isnt from Gallifrey.
The Doctor is actually from another Universe, meaning there is a whole race unknown to explore that have regeneration powers.
The 12 lives of Time Lords doesnt apply to the Doctor as he/she isnt a Time Lord.
The Doctor will never know how old he/she really is or how long.
The Time Lords are dead yet again.
The Master escaped and the Cyber Time Lords may have escaped with him.
The Doctor had his/her mind wiped and changed back into a child and grew up to what we know is the First Doctor.
Dr. Who jumps the shark. None of the above was necessary to make the storyline interesting. Chibnall just pissed on canon because he could.

I'm assuming everyone heard the Master shout something to the effect of 'Oi you lot follow me!' just before the bomb went off, but was it just me that chuckled at the thought of the Cybermen all legging it out of the room....faster than they have ever moved before! Probably just me, but I thought it was an amusing mental image.

As an aside, I think the Capaldi episodes are aging rather well. I didn't like him to start with, but when you watch it back some of them are really good. Tennant and Smith are still my favourites, but he was underrated I think.
Tennant and Rose will be remembered. I bloody hatred Smith's version but by the end I thought he was getting better and wish he had stayed on longer. Capaldi? Nope. Didn't like his version and thought he was too old to take over after two younger players.

His last story with the Cyberman was ace though.
