I like Geraint Thomas quite a lot but I'm an ABI this year. Anyone but Ineos; they annoy me by keep winning. I'd most like a Frenchman to win since it's their race. Come on Julian Alaphilippe!
Ironically Quickstep have won a whole bunch more than Ineos this year

Was going to post exactly this. Early season Alaphilippe couldn't stop winning and it was nice to see Fuglsang win LBL

I'd like Ineos to do well this year, and always nice to see a brit do well. However I'd quite like to see Egan Bernal on the top step ahead of G as I do see him as the future but the flip is I'd rather see Froome take a 5 TdF - mainly because it'd ps off Hinault no end

I'd like to see a Yates brother on the top step.

Would be nice for G to have a the double tap this year. He is knocking on a bit whereas Bernal has youth on his side.

This story obviously got lost in the Grand Depart but its nice. Little lad was so upset that Cav wasn't riding the TdF, but he said it was ok because still wanted to ride with Cav. His mum tweeted Cav and the legend that he is turns up for a ride with the little fella.

I'm not crying, you are.
Chapeau. Pure class, that.

Cav the chav.

Deliberately drives fellow riders to the ground and pretends he didn't see it.

I've seen footballer on this forum being called cheats for far less.

I knew there would be one.

Yes, class. One of many examples of it - another being the only time I have ever witnessed a rainbow jersey wearer acting as domestique and doing the food run for the team.

He can be a prick at times, but there's no doubting his class on the bike. Anyway La Planche des Belles tomorrow, hoping Pinot can keep his st together and deliver a great ride, something in my waters tells me Thomas is going to ship time.

Tomorrows stage is going to be cracking. This is when we will see who among the GC contenders is really dialed in. Porte and D Martin think it's the most important stage, despite the massive climbs on week 3. G was reserved about it but I think he might make a move.

Maybe Quintana will attack everyone. Or maybe he’ll just sit in the wheels and do nothing...

I can never work whether he doesn’t have the legs to animate a race or he and Movistar simply don’t have the balls to do anything, but either way I think the clock is ticking for him as a Tour contender.

Their issue is Valverde in apparently grand form at the age of 52 and Landa Meana desperate to make his name.... Quintana will do nothing until the last two mountain stages whereby it will be too late..... again.

Loving this years Tour so far. Racing has been good, the race has looked amazing on the route so far.

I like seeing Sagan back on form. Not that far from having 3 stage wins.

Alaphilippe stage win was cracking.

Don't know how the race will pan out with the favourites, seems open.

Todays first proper mountain will shake things up a bit.

It is good they have changed it. I wouldn't normally bother watching the first week.

It's still the same awful adverts though.

He's 39 - more interestingly he's also the same height as me (5'10) but weighs 22kg less at 58kg versus my 80kg which might have something to do with him being slightly better at cycling than me.

I'm better looking though woohoo

Even after having watched religiously for 30+ years there was something a bit nutty about the way they were all pedalling manically to the finish line today. I loved it. smile
