The only way they could make this series worse would be to invite Joe Thomas back.

I have watched one and half episodes of this run. Just didn't do anything for me, I'd rather watch old repeats from Dave.

Here's my suggestions for the hypothetical worst ever Taskmaster line up.
David Baddiel
Nish Kumar
Jo Brand
Joe Thomas
Daisy May Cooper
1st reserve Joe Wilkinson

And the best
Rhod Gilbert
Bob Mortimer
Sally Phillips
Noel Fielding
Josh Widdicombe
1st reserve Ed Gamble

Katherine Ryan on the best list. Just, because.

Just goes on to show we're all different, she only just missed the worst list. Just because. hehe

Christ alive no! He should be firmly near the top of the worst list. One of the most irritating people on TV.

I was fairly ambivalent about Joe Thomas. I'd put James Acaster on the best list though as well.

If we're doing lists, the worst were easily

Iain Stirling
Joe Thomas
Paul Sinha
Jo Brand
David Baddiel

Fortunately (or unfortunately) they were all contained within two series, effectively making them unwatchable, but at least they didn't dilute the other series.

Best for me

Rhod Gilbert
Bob Mortimer
Sally Phillips
James Acaster
Ed Gamble

Only list Acaster should be on is a list of those stealing a living from being a "Comedian".

Think about it logically, if you put Sally Phillips, Bob Mortimer and Johnny Vegas on it, you would reach nirvana.

Thought about Paul Sinha for the worst list, but given a pass on the basis he was working through a heap of health issues. Idiots like Brand, Baddiel etc zero excuses.

Normally not an Acaster fan but I thought he brought some funny moments to Taskmaster. Vegas I am a fan of but conversely he hasn't, yet.

Paul Chowdhry was brilliant and somewhat underrated in his series IMO. I also quite enjoyed a bit of the madness that Liza Tarbuck brought, really didn't expect that and watching her make Alex sit on that cake naked.....laugh

My list of the best previous/current contestants would be

Bob Mortimer
Al Murray
Rhod Gilbert
Paul Chowdhry
Sally Phillips

..and for a completely unwatchable series

Sara Pascoe
Tim Vine
Paul Sinha
Lou Sanders
Jo Brand

I'd also throw Nish into the above but I can only have 5....

I was expecting Richard Herring to be great on this but he's just been totally forgettable so far.

I thought that. I even looked up to see if they were a couple IRL.

Daisy May Cooper may have redeemed herself with the watermelon task last night... rofl

First proper laugh out loud moment of the series for me.

I just googled it, thinking I've never seen who she's wife.

My world has been crushed to find out she's married to RAY BLOODY PURCHASE!

Outraged I am. Outraged!

It was the way Richard Herring appeared to just stand and watch while she had a good nosh that got me laugh
