I've seen that Mini before. I have such a craving to own one like that, I bet they are ludicrous amounts of fun.

Am i to assume the MGF was accidentaly pasted in with the other stuff?

I have never been a big fan of American Muscle but after visiting a muscle car meet in Florida i changed my opinion. The craftsmanship that goes into some of the hot rods is something else and they all have a hand made air about them. I wouldn't want to own one really but i do admire them!

Right, too many essays not enough picture of decently modified cars. I think this is beautiful, although I have a feeling some will disagree:

It was fking hideous to begin with and is no better looking now they have stuck st on it. Honestly the only way to make any sls modded or not look good would be to melt it down to base metal.

They look like the standard wheels but refurbed in a different colour.

Not really worthy of being in this thread IMO condidering the quality of some of the cars, but then there are a few that have certainly slipped through the net.

Think that's a little harsh. Thread said decently, not heavily or extremely. The F was running a load of bolt on mods, uprated clutch, seriuosly good sounding exhaust for a modern 4 pot. Slammed, black rims with Michellin Pilot Sport Cup semi slick tyres and some custom trim items. Nothing extreme but I though it looked fairly slick and it was probably around 170bhp/tonne.

Some of those yanks were horrid too. The one with the eagle and the truck with the air-brushed tarts on it were minging.

That bronco was cool though.

Purposeful if probably a better description. Something that masculine cannot be called beautiful IMO. A beautiful car must exhibit feminine curves to be called such IMO. D/E-type or early Ferrari for example.
confused Beauty is subjective and I personally don't attribute masculine or feminine qualities to cars as I find that a bit disturbing.
You find that disturbing? The world must be a very scary place for you then.

In order to make you less disturbed, the anthropomorphising of products is a well established design philosophy, and has been for years.

I appreciate a brief insight in to the philosophy of product design, but you've missed my point a little. I was saying that to find a car "beautiful" you require it to have "feminine curves" which I find to have a pretty disturbing sexual undercurrent. Each to there own though, I'm not going to argue with you about which adjective would be most suitable for that car.

Right, am not claiming this as my thread or anything like it but please can we all do the following :

  • Post pictures of decently modified cars (that is, decent to you and be open to any positive or negative comments on it)
  • A description of what has been done to the car if not obvious from the pictures. This helps explain why it's decently modified or not.
  • Refrain from posting 100 pictures of the same cars with the same mods (Was a problem in the past)
Stick to the above and we may just get back on track thumbup

Now that I like. Looked at buying a 101 ambulance many years back with the idea of turning it in to a camper van that would tow a dive boat out of anything.

I fancy a Pinzgaur now instead biggrin

That's hilarious rofl

I can assure you there are is no 'disturbing sexual undercurrent' - I find it quite an odd accusation to be honest, and perhaps more of a reflection of your own view on life. Search using the phrase 'Beautiful Design' in google images and see what it brings up. I can tell you now it's not aggressive looking cars or masculine products.
